Montepulciano stands on the ridge that divides the Val d'Orcia from the Val di Chiana, and is located on a limestone hill. This beautiful Renaissance village, with a medieval layout, is set in a postcard landscape, which in any direction you look at refers to the most classic and widespread idea of the Tuscan countryside, the one where waves of hills and golden fields dotted with cypresses chase each other.
