Your home away from home is a two level unit in an incredible vintage Queen Anne landmark home. Your apartment has been beautifully furnished, luxury beds with feather toppers, view decks, and all the details you need to make your stay perfect. Our apartment has two official bedroom (walls not shared) with one queen bed and one king. An additional sleeping nook has two twin beds perfect for kids or additional guests. We have plenty of free on street parking as well as two driveway spaces that you may use anytime they are free. The kitchen is stocked for all your cooking needs. You will find all the condiments and extras on hand necessary, including coffee and creamer (priority uno). We will do our very best to make your stay enjoyable at a price that makes it affordable to visit Seattle again in the future. Many of you like the ability to check in early, which is possible when the guests prior text me to say they have vacated (often guests leave before the 11AM check out time which allows me to get a early start on the cleaning). Guest will have access to our parking/driveway, view decks, and all the advice a person could want about Seattle eating and drinking! We use a keyless entry system to make things super easy on in and out. It's your trip, just pay your money and take good care of the apartment and the rest is up to you. I am here if you need me via text, however, I'm often times not on site. This well-located home is only two blocks away from the famous 'Frasier' view. The top of Queen Anne is an historic and very walkable area, with great vistas. There are also plentiful bars, cafes, bookstores, salons, tea shops, and eateries. We are a three story victorian with a massively overgrown hedge on the Galer side and a driveway on the very wide 5th West side of the street. There are two driveway spots and street parking. Please use anything that is available. Transportation: If you aren’t planning on renting a car (not necessary in my mind) we have some great options. Airport/Car Service: ABC Transport (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) This car service is the most reliable, safest, most affordable way to get to the airport. Steve will answer a call 24/7 and could not be nicer. The airport is a flat $35 (tip not included) to and from Seatac. The cars are huge old town cars and very safe drivers. They are absolutely always on time both coming and going, and the extra trunk space for suit cases is great. It is CHEAPER to use this service than to take a cab and they know my location. I know that some of you are taking side trips once you arrive. ABC does transportation to many places so it is worth a call to see talk over your plans. Around Seattle: UBER CAR SERVICE The Uber app connects you to a driver at the tap of a button. Once the app is installed on your phone you can pull up a map to see the cars in your area. When you install the app you will put in your payment information. Once ready for a car simply pull up the app, drop a pin at your location, and wait for a car in the area to confirm they will pick you up. You will get a text message with your drivers name and photo as well as an estimated time to pick up. You can watch the car on the map make their way over to you. It’s very slick! You can choose between the fancy new town car or SUV (fun for weddings or special events), Hybrid Vehicle (unmarked but manned by a taxi driver), or lastly a citizen’s car (marked by a furry pink mustache). The citizen car is the cheapest route, but don’t worry….the driver and the cars have been vetted with background checks on both the driver and the car (which must be 5 years young or less, clean, and safe). There is no exchange of cash or tipping since that’s all included in your prior setup of the account. I’ve found it to be very affordable depending on which car level you choose - and so dang simple anyone can use it! I’m unaware of the car seat installation policy if you have young ones, however, I recommend this service and use it personally several times a month. DO NOT take Uber to the airport as will cost you a fortune. BUS: There is a bus stop right in front of our home that will take you directly downtown. If you want to find a specific destination Metro has a trip planner that can be helpful for busing to any location in Seattle. WALKING: Seattle is a great city for walking. The walk downtown is easy going down (we are at the tipity top of Queen Anne Hill about 2 blocks from the famous Fraiser skyline view) but the walk back can be a thigh burner. On top of Queen Anne we do have multiple great dining options as well as a Trader Joes (best grocery store ever and so cheap) just just a few blocks away, parks, pools, cafes, nail shops, and bars Please be light footed early in the morning and late at night as to not disturb the family that resides below. Old houses are notoriously loud and delicate! We will do our very best to make your stay enjoyable at a price that makes it affordable to visit Seattle again in the future. Every detail has been meticulously thought out; from the hangers in the bathroom to every appliance, every picture on the walls and the selection of Spanish-moorish tiles both in the bathroom and kitchen. It doesn't matter if you are staying for 3 days, for a week or for longer. The place has been purposely designed for your thorough enjoyment and extreme comfort. You have a full walking closet with capacity to hang as much clouding as you can carry and as many as 40 pairs of shoes. Of course you have top quality linens and towels as well as all the essentials for a 5-stars hotel experience. El Nido es the top unit of a former home; there are other 2 units occupied by very decent and quite families, but they have their completely separate entrances, so you will not be sharing common spaces with anyone; in fact, the entire space is at your disposal and at your disposal only, every square foot both of the apartment and of the private deck is entirely and exclusively for your use. My partner and I are avid travelers; we are AirBnB users as well; hence, we appreciate the availability of hosts as they are locals with ample knowledge of the amenities and less obvious gems of their cities. We want to let you know that we will be happy to be available as a friendly and willing source not only of problem solving, but also of information and guidance. How much interaction is for your to freely decide. Voted one of the 10 most interesting cities in the US by The Traveler magazine, Oakland is a growing area that has a wonderful selection of unique restaurants, shops, and bars. Take in the harbor views nearby and spend a fun day out on Lake Merritt. Lake Merritt Bart Station to San Francisco: Bart takes you to San Francisco (Only 2 short stops, an about 7-minutes ride, and you are in Embarcadero, the very epicenter of “the City”). It also takes you to and from both San Francisco International and Oakland International airports. While this station is only 1.2 away from the apartment, it is a good 25 minutes-walk. It is a lot easier and comfortable if you take Uber or Lift. For those of you more intrepid, there are also bikes or even those city-scooters that people leave anywhere. A major bus line runs down the Lake on Foothill Boulevard (which you catch at the intersection of 7th Ave @ Foothill, only 800 feet away). The same line brings you back one intersection over (@ E 14th). Both streets are one way, so the nearest goes down the Lake and the subsequent brings you back. Nevertheless, as we said earlier, Taxis and app-based ride services like Uber and Lyft work quite efficiently and inexpensively in our area. Enjoy a peaceful visit to the farm in this cozy and comfortable bed-and-breakfast retreat. Wake up with breakfast brought to your door, then spend the morning leisurely exploring the surrounding apple orchards and gardens. Located on a working farm/cidery, you can learn about apple culture and even stroll through the orchards tasting different varieties of apples during the harvest season. The farm's chickens provide very tasty eggs which you'll enjoy for breakfast; there are cows and lots of wild-life just outside your door! The cottage is set up comfortably for two people with all the spa amenities. Guests have stayed here for the last several years; you can read reviews online by following the review link on our website after searching for our name (AppleGarden Cottage) on the web. Breakfast is brought to the cottage each morning with all organic and home-made items. Fresh eggs from our pasture-raised chickens, local dairy items, and our own hard cider is stocked in the fridge. Guests can enjoy touring the apple orchard and cidery, and visiting with the resident chickens. They have complete privacy inside the cottage. Free EV charger for guest use. We live full-time on the farm in the main house and are always on-site when our guests are present. We enjoy visiting with folks if they want to tour the farm or need suggestions for activities. Tomales is 68 miles from both San Franciso (SFO) and Oakland (OAK) airports. There are many hiking opportunities just a short distance from the farm: Point Reyes National Seashore has wonderful trails to explore. There are local cheesemakers who have educational tours; Tomales Bay is perfect for kayaking, and of course there are several oyster farm choices for the bivalve lover! Spectacular beaches are just an easy drive away. If the weather's nice, bring your bikes! EVC available for your car. There is no public transportation. We are located about an hour from San Francisco (traffic depending) and about 20 minutes from Petaluma. Fee includes breakfast for two each morning. Free wi-fi, satellite TV with premium channels, land-line phone with free calls (cell phone coverage is difficult), internet radio The weather is quite changeable; dressing in layers is the best idea since the morning can start out foggy, lots of sunshine during the day, and a brisk breeze in the afternoons. No animals - no exceptions, no matter how well behaved you may think they are, so please don't ask. On rainy days, enjoy the cozy comfort of reading next to the fireplace, or venture out to watch to storm at Bodega Head. Plan to bring snacks or other things you'd enjoy eating; we provide breakfast (of course!) and there are restaurants fairly close by, but no stores or places to just run out and get a quick treat!
