Cozy sleeping lofts accommodate 4-6 guests, ideal for 2 couples or a family of 6, with added memory foam futon. A spiral staircase leads to one loft, while a sturdy ladder leads to twin beds for a unique experience. Enjoy unparalleled stargazing, nearby hiking trails, and a 120-acre property to explore. Built in 2014 on 20-acres with a private drive, 900' of riverfront with a trail, superb privacy with great views, only 3.5-miles from downtown Salida and 18-miles from Monarch. With a big garden and chickens (fresh veggies and eggs in season!), we're frequented by visits from deer, great-horned owls, red-tailed hawks, and sometimes wild turkeys and elk!

Streaming WIFI. Dogs are welcome if declared and never left alone (uncrated) or allowed on furniture. Enjoy your private acre bordered by Love Meadow on one side and Chalk Creek on the other. No fishing on property. Guests like to see our wild trout. There are many fishing spots nearby.

Built-in 2015, it's featured in the "Small House Book" by Lloyd Kahn. It's clean and modern yet warm and cozy. One bedroom has a queen bed and the 2nd bedroom has two twin beds (AC in bedrooms). The main living space has a garage door that opens to the back patio. It's a hop, skip, and a jump from all you need, from biking and hiking trails, restaurants, shops, the playground, the amphitheater, and the river. Our short-term rental license number for the city of Salida is 0511.

Only 15-20 minutes to downtown Salida and 30 minutes to Monarch Mountain Ski Area. We have a fire pit and propane grill outside the entryway.

We do not have Wi-Fi, so come expecting to unplug. We have a landline if you need to communicate with anyone.
