Escape to our cozy mountain cabin nestled in the scenic Sangre De Cristo's. The setting offers plenty of open space. It's an ideal place to relax, enjoy captivating views, venture out on private hiking trails, view wildlife, and dark sky star gaze. Forbes Park is filled with wildflowers in the spring, and has unique access to the SWA public park. It's less than an hour from the Great Sand Dunes National Park and Cuchara Mountain Park. Amongst the closest stays to the The Great Sand Dunes National Park & surrounding 14ers! Spectacular sunrises/sunsets & zero light pollution makes it hard to count all the shooting stars you'll see!

Entire home with full kitchen, one bathroom with washer and dryer, one bedroom with queen bed, newly added Queen bed in the living room, The home sits on 5 acres with amazing views. 30 minutes from The great sand dunes national park! 15 minutes from Sand dunes hot springs. Front and back porch perfect for watching the sunrise and sunsets, quiet get away. There is some equipment on property, We have a shop area in the back of the property we use occasionally but it is a good distance away. NO AC

For additional guests, a pullout couch is available. This getaway is designed for relaxation and offers a one-of-a-kind experience along the San Antonio River. Nature lovers will appreciate the close proximity to the New Mexico border, offering easy access to outdoor pursuits. We welcome pets.

The space has a queen bed with a pull out couch. There is a small kitchen for your convince stocked with pots, pans, dishes and utensils. There is a patio area with furniture, fire table, gas BBQ and hammocks. Come experience the tranquility that the magical San Luis Valley has to offer.

Colorado High Mountain Off-Grid Glamping Treehouse

Get away from it all in our remote, contemporary style, off-grid, Colorado treehouse, located in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains at 10K ft elevation. Relax on the deck while taking in the amazing views of Culebra Peak or gaze at the star filled skies. A tiny wood-burning stove will keep you cozy and warm. The sectional couch is used as a super-sized bed. Older kids (or average sized adults) can sleep in the small overhead loft on a 3 inch queen foam topper.

The Mushroom Yurt

Off-grid rustic Mushroom yurt. This little yurt can sleep up to four people. It has a bunk bed cot and a queen size tri-fold mattress. There is a picnic table, a propane bbq grill, a fire pit, and an outhouse. Taos is approximately 30 miles, Red River 20 miles and Questa is 9 miles away. Cell service is good. The yurt has a solar power system to charge your devices. The yurt is heated. Sunshine rd is plowed in the winter, the driveway is not plowed.
