The Rock Room

Explore 35+ wooded acres surrounded by national forest in the Rocky Mountains. A wonderful place for couples, friends, & solo travelers to relax or adventure in a modern cabin cut into a rock wall <15 mins from Salida, CO. We designed the Rock Room with 6 floor to ceiling windows and an automatic garage door that opens up to a rock wall and your private covered balcony which overlooks national forest on both sides. Absolute peace and one with nature. No roads in sight from cabin, sans driveway. Direct access out the back door to a beautiful waterfall, hiking trails, and a 14er (Mt. Princeton). Unobstructed views of mountains and wildlife. Listen to the brook as it flows through property. In middle of wilderness, but close to amenities. Soothe your weary self in the Hot Springs brand private hot tub with lounger off back deck gazing at the billions of stars above. Firepit with seating (bring own firewood).

Town Hut - Cozy haven on BVs mtn side, EV charging

We welcome you to stay in our guest house: A renewed log cabin on three acres at BV's western edge. This quiet, in-town location is a good base for Arkansas Valley activities. A few miles east of us is Cottonwood Pass with hot springs, hiking, snowshoeing, etc. Or, bike or walk a mile to the east for restaurants and shopping, the Arkansas River and Fourmile trail complex beyond. Note: There are many pet-friendly options nearby, but we do our best to provide an allergen-free studio for guests.

Streaming WIFI. Dogs are welcome if declared and never left alone (uncrated) or allowed on furniture. Enjoy your private acre bordered by Love Meadow on one side and Chalk Creek on the other. No fishing on property. Guests like to see our wild trout. There are many fishing spots nearby.

The cabin is in a quiet and secluded part of Crestone that is amazing for sunrises over the Sangre De Cristo mountains sunsets off the front porch across the San Luis Valley, and stargazing. Includes a well stocked kitchen, split wood for the wood stove, fenced back yard, and cedar wood hot tub. Pet friendly (NO FEES)! Great access to Great Sand Dunes National Park, hot springs, hiking, 14ers, spiritual centers, Alligator Farm, and UFO tower. A short drive to downtown Crestone!

The Rustic La Garita Cabin

This 1000sq ft cabin in the country with a very rural setting. It is quiet and relaxing, has a wood stove and is close to outdoor activities. Penitent Canyon, La Garita, hiking, mountain biking, rock climbing, 4wheeling, ATV trails, snowmobiling, skiing (Wolf Creek is 50 min drive). It has a canal running by in the summer. Self-serve breakfast with home-made yogurt, home-made granola, home-made bread for toast, local grown organic eggs, (hot coffee, chocolate, tea) on request.
