Our living room features a massive lounge-worthy sectional with a smart TV, soft blankets, and plenty of pillows. We also offer free use of the washer and dryer. While you will have full access everything listed here, part of the 1st floor (full blocked off with private separate entrance) is another Airbnb unit. You may run into other guests due to a shared outdoor gated entry but each unit has a separate private and secure entrance into the Airbnbs. The kitchen and dining area are right above the 1st floor Airbnb, so we appreciate not walking with your shoes (if loud) upstairs. Within 5 to 10 minutes are the Medical Center, NRG, and Downtown Houston! Less than 15 minutes away are the BBVA Compass Stadium, Minute Maid Park, Rice University, University of Houston, Texas Southern University, the Houston Zoo, Museum District and many many wonderfully diverse culinary options from food trucks to breweries to steakhouses! Approximately 15 seconds to highway 288 which gets you downtown in around 8 minutes. Stay here and you don't have to fight street traffic on top of freeway/highway traffic! Street parking in front of the house along the grass is plentiful! Most of the owners park here since our garages tend to be for storage :) No Pets Allowed (We are very allergic!). We also appreciate you leaving your shoes in the foyer since we have soft pine wood flooring upstairs. You will have access to the townhouse through our gated side yard. There is a small 2nd story patio that you will have all to your self as well. Great spot for winding down after a long day with some of Houston's finest craft beers. The side yard and patio are both wonderfully lit for both safety and atmosphere. Please do not walk to back of house on 1st floor as this is a separate Airbnb unit. We recently moved closer to downtown so we're still just minutes away and can help with issues you may be having. You can bike to the closest rail line station. This is Texas though so driving (including Uber) is usually the easiest way to get around. Access to the unit is completely host-free, so you can check in at any time after 3pm and come and go as you please, no matter the time! Old Fourth Ward is an exciting neighborhood home to locals and A-list celebrities. It boasts trendy restaurants and bars, the historic Fourth Ward Park, as well as Martin Luther King's birth home and museum all nearby. There are three Marta stations within 2 miles of the house; one is 1.2 miles. UBER is extremely convenient and always available within a few minutes, so I don't ever bother with taxis. Uber is also about half the price to the airport as taxis. There is also a bike rental shop 1 block away on the Beltline, where you can walk or bike to Piedmont Park, Midtown and Inman Park. Definitely check out the "Beltline"; it's a hugely popular paved biking and walking trail just 1 block from the house that takes you through great neighborhoods and ends at Atlanta's largest park (Piedmont Park). Locals go there to see and be seen, bar hop, and exercise.

The kitchen opens into the dining area and living room, and there are two separate bedrooms. The interior space is 750 sf, and the back deck is roughly 280 sf. The large sliding glass doors in both the living room and one of the bedrooms lend an indoor-outdoor living atmosphere, adding space and the feeling of being up in the trees. My place is the back unit in a duplex. It's very private and quiet, set off from the street. I'm easy to reach via Airbnb messaging, email or phone, happy to offer local tips. And of course I'm available should anything come up during your stay, as is the housekeeper. Listen to the quietness of this green and hilly neighborhood, close to Zilker Park and Barton Springs. Alternatively, head for nearby South Lamar, which is loaded with restaurants, shops, cinemas, and cafes—there's plenty to do right nearby.
