What you need to know the most: there are 240 stairs to reach the property. That means any time you leave — for the beach, for restaurants, for shopping — you have to trek down, then back up those uneven stone steps. Me and my fat a** had to stop for breaks, but if I can make it, you can, too! (They’re lit at night but it’s still unnerving and you’ll use the light in your phone.) My friends and I loved the property, and all agreed it was even better than we expected. It’s lovely. And it was so cool to look up and spot the villa among the trees when we were down in town. We used the heck out of the grill and the kitchen; I’ve never seen a place so well-equipped with spices (although you’ll have to g**gle “induction cooktop” if you’ve never used it before). The bathroom-to-bedroom ratio: perfect. Consistent hot water. The pool and lounging areas: awesome. The view: ridiculous (in a good way). Robert the caretaker: patient and amazing. The villa was definitely a huge part of why my Croatia visit was the best vacation I’ve had.

This is the most beautiful villa!!!! We stayed for 1 week in July. The island is absolutely stunning . Jelena has been an amazing host, she has been very helpful with arranging transport and transfers for our party of 11. Alan the on site caretaker is a lovely gent and is willing to help as much as you need. The steps up to the villa are a bit tough but it’s absolutely worth it. The villa itself is expertly renovated and has everything you need for an amazing stay. The pool and the views are amazing . I would highly recommend and hope to return to Villa Lopud. 10 out of 10
