Tom was a wonderful host! Very responsive to our questions and accommodating when we had special requests for single kayaks over the holiday week. It was also our first time all together with our group of kiddos three and under. The house was well-equipped and provided wonderful space for everyone to play and bond. We would love to stay here again!

Very clean and well appointed with anything you could possibly need for a group. We loved the large living area for everyone to congregate, and love that it all looked out onto the water across the great back deck. My in-laws were able to enjoy time in the shade while watching everyone enjoy the backyard and water. The deck overlooking the water was fantastic for watching the sunrise, we enjoyed taking turns in the hammock, as well as riding bikes around the property and sunset kayak rides. The beach is great. We floated around on the rafts and sat at the edge of the water in beach chairs. We really appreciated that they had all of the equipment there. We would’ve loved to have stayed longer… house does sit in the woods and can get buggy outside…bring bug spray for sure. Make sure you get fresh crabs from Fleeton seafood just 3 minutes away… fresh seafood, one of the best tings about the northern neck!!

Thomas' property is a beautiful property, an oasis on the Chesapeake Bay in a more rural part of the tidewater region of Virginia. Our group of four families found the spacious home and grounds to be perfectly private and well-suited for our group of 8 adults and many small children. The views of the Bay off the recently re-done Brazilian hardwood deck from the back of the house and across the grassy yard are perfect. We ended up down for a long weekend on one of the hottest fews days of 2022 and between the Bay breezes and the shade from the old growth pine trees that surround the property it was likely a 5-10 degrees cooler than the 95 degrees on the thermometer indicated. Our kids thoroughly enjoyed the small beach down the steps of rip rap at the edge of the property, and the shallow water (even with tidal changes) was perfect for safe swimming for our kiddos. The adults also enjoyed the addition off the house to the original structure, which was a game room with a foosball table and ping pong table for late night as it was somewhat separated from the rest of the house. The apartment in the carriage house also makes for a welcoming 5th bedroom with its own bathroom, kitchenette and A/C system. We have been traveling down to the Northern Neck of Virginia for several years now and have found many lovely homes in this region of Virginia, but Thomas' home is on the top of our list now for return trips. Thomas is very communicative and provides detailed instructions about check-in, check-out, amenities and local tips. We highly recommend Thomas' property and hope to be back!
