Our beautifully renovated farmhouse set in a quiet rural part of Burgundy, not far from the Sancerre/Pouilly wine country. It has a huge garden and terrace, large swimming pool (May-October), trampoline and swings (and space to make huts and play hide and seek!). Peaceful evenings star-gazing, sitting under the pergola as you barbecue whilst drinking locally wine, after taking leisurely strolls or bike rides around the country lanes is what it is all about! Great for family get-togethers or several families to relax together in the peace and quiet of rural Burgundy, maybe enjoying a glass of the local wine... The rooms are big and the walls solid, meaning that families with young children can have their own space and not fear disturbing everyone! We have equipped it to the standard that we like to enjoy - it is so much more than a rental but a beloved family home and we love to share the extras with our guests (such as very well-equipped kitchen, loads of books and board games, (old!) bikes to borrow) Whilst 14 is the maximum guests we accept in principle and we set 12 as the limit for numbers of adults, we may be able to accept extra guests. We do sometimes accept larger groups (eg groups with children who are happy to share/bring extra (air mattresses) and have two (or more!) sittings at the kitchen table/use the outdoor tables (as the kitchen table only sits max. 12, but that needs to be discussed with us first. We don’t tend to accept very large parties/potentially noisy groups (sorry!) out of respect for our neighbours.
