This is a nice location and we do recommend it mindful of comments below. Difficult to reach on a poor road (4WD accessible with a guide or 45 min-1hr in local transport - not recommended in saloon car) but worth it when you get there. The house is fine but overpriced if you rent both rooms (we paid US$150 - and suggest that it should be half that). There are issues with cleanliness/ rodents but nothing major (but not whats expected for the price). The location is well out of the way and it would be nice if some local activities were on offer (my son wanted to go fishing) but it's great to just gaze at the view (assuming it's clear) and chill out. It would be very nice if the house had a fireplace or fire pit outside.

After 40 minutes walk, we can have a wonderful stay in this forest house. Very quiet. An experience beyond time ! Good cooking. Thanks for all. We definitely recommend !

A magical location. It takes some effort to get there, but it was well worth it for us. The place was clean and comfortable, and the food simple, fresh and tasty

We have been looking for a place where it would be possible to admire the beautiful scenery sitting on the terrace with a cup of tea. But what we found was much better than we dreamed of. The house is situated in a wonderful place. Views around just amazing. The house is very cosy. Our stay here was organized at the highest level. All food was very tasty. It is the best place for relaxation We really want to come back again.

We stayed here over the Sinhala New Year and was amazing quiet, private literally off the beaten track and a great getaway for us. The area is cool, breezy fresh and just the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of the extremely humid and hot colombo. This is a place to come with friends to relax, enjoy a good single malt, play board games and just wind down. Having read the reviews we kept our expectations low but although I never interacted with Priyan himself I must say that he has taken the previous reviews to heart and rectified the downs. - Bathroom locks (they were all fixed and now working fine) - Skylight in the bathroom (now installed and perfect) - Food (all home made, fresh and perfect sri lankan food, from pol rotates to string hoppers to kiribath - we were happy campers) - Cleanliness (the property was very clean, sealed very well to keep the bugs out at night.) The small touches to the bungalow made a huge difference to us, there were incense sticks, perfumed candles, potpourri and the shawls on the sofas were a lovely touch of warmth and made us feel just at home The views were great, if we wanted to we could have gone on walks, a lot of places were suggested but the bungalow was just too comfortable to leave. Will definitely be back.
