We had an amazing experience staying at Patricia and Rumi's home. They welcomed us into their family, cooking breakfast, lunch, and dinner for us. During the meal Patricia would sit and talk with us. She was very patient with our limited Spanish. My daughter was interested in their farm and Patricia showed us the different crops they were growing, and we walked with her to being the cows to another pasture and saw the chickens with their eggs and the rabbits and guinea pigs. Patricia also helped organize a horse riding trip for my kids and I when we expressed interest. My husband was able to work remotely from their place and there were several coffee shops close by that he worked from as well. Feel so fortunate to have the experience of staying with an Ecuadorian family.

I stayed at Pati and Rumi's home with my 11 year old son for 4 nights this Spring. My son does not speak Spanish, but I wanted to give him the experience of normal Ecuadoran life as much as I could while we were in the country. We could not have felt more welcomed than at Pati and Rumi's home! We were greeted with a hug and celebrated a family birthday with them on the very 1st night, and over the next couple of days Pati was a fantastic host (and a wonderful cook!). She even joined us in exploring the area and helped us to see some of the things we were curious about (how hammocks are made)! Both Pati and Rumi were very patient with my Spanish, and I noticed they slowed their speech and repeated things in different ways, to make it easier for me to understand. We would have gladly stayed much longer (my son became emotional when we left) and hope to return. We really feel like we made friends here. <3 Thank you so very much, Pati and Rumi, for your gracious hospitality.

Patricia and her family are very good people to stay with. My upstairs room was small but very private - I was the only guest at this time. The neighborhood is peaceful. But, earplugs can be useful when animals are “chatting”, lol. The kitchen dinners created by my host were very good. 5 stars for all categories except Map location which is not accurate.

La Casa de huéspedes de Patricia es un lugar familiar, en que te invitan a participar en sus actividades diarias y compartir un poquito de la vida en el campo. Mis nenas disfrutaron las actividades de dar de comer a los conejos, así como cosechar. Patricia compartió con nosotros su rica comida hecha en casa. Esperamos volver cuando estén los choclos para cosechar :)

superbe accueil de Patricia, on s'est senti chez nous, la cuisine préparée était excellente on s'est régalé ! le cadre magnifique, un beau jardin, les montagnes autour ...les 2 petits jours sont passés bien trop vite on aurait aimé resté plus longtemps ! Merci beaucoup !
