This is a wonderful place with a fantastic view. Casa Verde is a homey, clean and charming place to stay. Deborah is a wonderful host and very helpful. The water is hot, the bed comfortable and a great place to visit.

Casa Verde is even more beautiful than the photos! We had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The beds were very comfy and there was plenty of hot water in the shower. One of the things that I loved the most about Casa Verde, besides the beautiful views and gorgeous flowers everywhere was the vegetable garden. We had freshly picked veggies every day including broccoli, Brussels sprouts, beets, sweet potatoes, tomatoes, peppers, arugula, lettuces, and more, that was a wonderful gift!!! Deborah had done an excellent job with Finca Ellis. It truly is a little piece of paradise. She was also a good host and always attentive and willing to help. We had some issues and she was quick to respond and take care of them. The only thing I recommend is earplugs for people who are not deep sleepers, it seems that Ecuadorians love to have many dogs who love barking at night, and they also love their loud music! I recommend Casa Verde to anyone who comes to Cotacachi!

The Casa is beautiful with everything you need and the surroundings are stunning. It is a 35 minute walk into town along peaceful roads, or alternatively you can jump on a local bus, so it was very convenient. Deborah is responsive to any questions you have and always willing to help, and the on site driver Cristian is also very helpful, reliable and flexible. The only issue we had was the noise at night, which we thought we were prepared for, having traveled throughout Latin America, but boy oh boy, were we wrong! The local community often play loud music all night long, and there are also street dogs and farm dogs that run around barking at all hours. I would recommend bringing earplugs to block this out. That was our only small gripe, other than that we really enjoyed our stay here.

We loved our stay at Deborah's place. It was exactly what we wanted. I'd had a bit of an accident and so the extra bed downstairs was a real blessing. Deborah was very nice to talk to and was extremely helpful. We would go back to Casa Verde in a heartbeat - perhaps for a much longer stay.
