We had a mini family reunion in Italy and, after much searching, selected this villa as our home base. There were 14 of us, ranging in age from 5 to 70. We wanted a Tuscan villa with a view that had enough bedrooms and bathrooms, a pool, ping pong table, space for kids to run around, a good kitchen for cooking and a real brick pizza oven. This property checked all the boxes. Mauro was a perfect host. His communication during booking, pre-arrival and while we were there was fast and helpful. One of the highlights of our trip was the meal Mauro and his family cooked for us. A classic Tuscan dinner. It was delicious...especially the zucchini flower pasta dish! The villa location is ideal. The nearby walled city of Cortona made for a great half day trip. We also hiked the mountains and went for a picnic at the lake. It was easy to get to the highway for trips to Florence etc. The extremely narrow dirt road up to the villa is a little bit of an adventure, but you get used to it. Became part of the fun. The linens are perfectly clean...white and ironed. But the pillows were very flat compared to what we are used to. Something to note if fluffiness is important to you. We loved to cook ourselves, so the overflowing containers of herbs had us in heaven. It really did feel like a home...with little touches of Tuscany and personality thoughout. My son was very taken with the homemade chess set. Mauro made us feel welcome and important at every stage of our vacation. I thoroughly recommend him and his property.

Mauro and family, thank you for making our first trip to Tuscany the very best it could be. We chose your home to have the perfect Tuscan experience. That is exactly what we had. Most memorable, our special Mother’s Day meal prepared and planned by Mauro, his wife Rosaria, and his amazing Chef/son Federico. In addition, we had live music, and singing that was top notch. Pizza classes by Federico gave the kids, and adults, a unique and fun experience for the day. We probably made 15 pizzas for 7 people. I even got my truffled pizza. The house was clean as anyone could ask for. The views were like paintings. The smell of flowers all around was like we were at a flower shop. The wine delicious and never ending! The food was beyond expectations. We can’t provide enough praise to the family! We’re on the plane ride home now back to the states. Part of us still remain in Tuscany. If you want to rent this home do so knowing you’re going to leave with added family members. Grazie! Grazie! Grazie!

I would highly recommend Mauro's place. It is clean and well set up. Coming from the US it has most amenities we have become used to. I will explain more: The villa is actually 2 living spaces each with 3 good size bedrooms and 2 baths and their own terraces kitchens and living rooms. The pool is a small hike up hill but once you get there you never want to leave. The kids and the adults can enjoy it. The villa has activities to keep the kids and the adults busy - trampoline fooseball ping pong The place is set up so that you can enjoy hanging out whether it is in the morning for coffee or in the evening just hanging out. You can grill or cook or take out pizza. Mauro's wine is wonderful. We loved it and drank both his white and red! The best pArt of our stay was a celebration dinner that his son , Federico, a chef cooked for us. Words cannot describe how wonderful it was -- fresh vegetables from Mauro's garden - pici made by our own hands with Federico's help pomodora sauce and cacchio e Pepe the best!!!! You will need a car to get around. I would suggest finding the villa on google earth so that when you arrive on the road you don't think you are lost. Again this is a wonderful place I would highly recommend it!

Mauro is the perfect host and the villa is charming with a feel of a home away from home. The location is very quiet and secluded with beautiful views of the Tuscan country side. Still, the villa is not too far away from supermarkets and small villages and even day trips to Pisa, Siena or Firenze. Federico cooked wonderful dinners for our party supported by his lovely mom and we thoroughly enjoyed the good food and wine of the region. Highly recommended and hope to be back some day.

A fantastic house in a fantastic environment. This house has everything you need for a trip to Toscana. Mauro is a fantastic nice and helpful host. And his son Fredrico is a fantastic chef, that can cook incredibly good Tuscan food. I really recommend this place. Best regards Henrik with company.
