Great stay at Squirrel's Nest - Jill and her husband were extremely accommodating and helpful. Place was clean, with some lovely personal touches, away from main roads. It was beautifully peaceful. Thank you so much!

We had a wonderful stay at Squirrel's Nest. Jill and Steve were the perfect hosts. Bright, airy and spotlessly clean. We would definitely stay again, can't recommend it highly enough.

Jill and Thea were great hosts, they were beautiful people and very kind. Whenever we had an issue, they were very prompt at helping us. The Airbnb was extremely tidy, clean, beautiful and peaceful. It was fully equipped with everything we needed, and we felt right at home. The surroundings were very calm, serene and full of interesting things to visit, Castle Howard is highly recommended! It’s the perfect place for a get-away holiday! Will be back to stay here when we come to York!

This is the second time we've stayed at Squirrel's Nest and we will be returning for another stay later this year. Delighted with the accommodation and particularly pleased that Jill is now offering EV charging which means I don't have to find a public charger whilst staying there. The location is very peaceful and private. The property is well furnished and spotless and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay in York.

We had an absolutely lovely stay at Squirrel Nest; it is a dreamy little secluded spot and yet so convenient for York City Centre. The accommodation was comfortable and warm - we were there during an exceptionally cold spell but when indoors, we were perfectly cosy with the underfloor heating providing a consistent temperature. This was a big deal for us as we are currently renovating an old house where it's either a sauna or absolutely freezing! The place was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. Jill replied to messages promptly and was very helpful and friendly. Last but not least, the lemon drizzle cake was to die for! We can't wait to return in the warmer months and sit outside on the terrace overlooking the beautiful view :)
