Virginie et son mari nous accueillent dans une magnifique maison : une vraie demeure de famille sur un terrain spacieux. Nous avons pu profiter au maximum de cette semaine avec nos amis et nos enfants dans un cadre charmant. Entre l’observation des étoiles, les visites régulières à la poule, les jeux avec nos bébés, les repas à rallonge, les quelques baignades et les barbecues dans le jardin : nos premières vacances en tant que parents ont été très réussies ! Merci une fois de plus pour leur accueil.

We (a family of 5 adults and 3 children aged 4 to 81) had a lovely week in Virginie's beautiful house. It is quite far from the nearest villiage and shops but we enjoyed the good sized simming pool and those with lots of energy enjoyed the tennis courts about 15 minutes away. The kitchen was big enough to cater easily for 8 people and the only criticism was that the knives were blunt. The bedrooms comfotable and 3 bathrooms made it easy for all. Virginie was available to help if required and quickly provided extra bedding for one of the children. Previous reviews mentioned an excessive check of every item but we found the checkout easy and friendly. Thank you Virginie for welcoming us to your lovely house. Dee

Très belle semaine dans une jolie région. Nous avons bien profité de la découverte de la région (châteaux au toute proximité) malgré une météo pluvieuse. Nous avons apprécié les grandes pièces à vivre de la maison et l’accès au jardin sécurisé. La piscine est très agréable et bien orientée. Je recommande fortement pour un séjour familial au calme. Il y a également une dépendance qui peut accueillir une famille de 4 personnes supplémentaires :). La communication avec Virginie a été un réel plus (rapide et efficace !).

House was great - the photos don't do it justice - it's really grand and nicely done up inside, and we appreciated the selection of DVDs and toys for the kids. Pool is huge. Grounds are a bit bare, and we struggled for shade a bit in the heat wave, but its obviously a work in progress so I'm sure further landscaping will help. There isn't much to do in the immediate area, but you are within striking distance (1hr) of the chateaux of the Loire. Virginie was helpful with anything we needed. Be aware, there are no basics at all in the kitchen - no salt/pepper/oil or anything and we were asked to take everything away with us, including half finished bottles of oil and salt etc, rather than leave for the next people. I don't really understand why, but there it is. You need to bring everything. Only sour note was the slightly over-zealous checking of the entire contents of the house at the end, and being asked to pay 15Euros for wear and tear to a garden chair which seemed unfair and unnecessary. Overall, we had a lovely time - thank you!

My family enjoyed a brilliant time at La Chausee. The house is extremely handsome, comfortable and well appointed, and the pool is just delightful. The large outside space is very congenial and we had many lovely days and evenings in these tranquil and relaxing surroundings. Virginie was a most friendly and helpful host and was very tolerant of my schoolgirl French. Highly recommended.
