Overlooking the beautiful Hastings River, Riverside Retreat is the perfect place to get away from it all, relax, unwind, recharge and spend quality time with your loved ones. The house is great for families and is wonderfully comfortable, whatever the weather. Enjoy a drink on the balcony, cool off in the pool in summer and in front of the fire in winter, cast a line for fishing or take a short drive to any one of the beautiful beaches in Port Macquarie. Riverside Retreat is for those that want to get out of the hustle and bustle, but still be close enough to take in all of the activities and restaurants/cafes that a coastal region has to offer. This is beautiful and relaxing family home has 3 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, plus a lovely big balcony and pool. There are three living spaces; one for the whole family, one set up as an office and one downstairs where children could enjoy games, television or perhaps you could hide away and read a book. Our balcony alfresco area is a perfect place to spend an afternoon chilling out over a coffee / wine, hosting a BBQ dinner or lunch while playing outdoor games on the grass or simply having a warm drink. Our kitchen is fully equipped with coffee machine, cookware and appliances. We provide a dedicated modern workspace with high speed NBN internet so you don’t miss out on joining your family and friends while working from your home away from home. We also offer a fully enclosed yard which is perfect if travelling with your furry friends. Port Macquarie is 2.5 hours drive to Newcastle and Hunter Valley region, 4 hours to Sydney and approx. 5 hours to Brisbane. Our home is a 20 minute drive to Port Macquarie airport and approximately a 30 minute drive to Wauchope railway station. The closet supermarket is located in Port Macquarie, approx. 7km away. On your way through town, stop off and pick up your supplies - or better yet, order online and have your groceries delivered to the door. To arrive at the house, you will cross Hastings River by taking one of the two ferries that both run by demand. Allow a max. 15min wait time to board, with crossing taking ~5mins and $6; 1. Follow Settlement Point Drive to the Settlement Point Ferry. Runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, except for monthly servicing day. Ferry does not run on the 4th Wednesday of each month between 9.30am and 3pm due to servicing. 2. Follow Boundary St to the Hibbard Ferry Monday to Friday: 6am - 9.50am and 2pm - 6.50pm. Weekends and public holidays*: 8am - 6.50pm. Ferry does not run on the 4th Thursday of each month between 10am and 2pm due to servicing.
