Best option in the area. If you are going to stay here, respect the space and pay it forward to the next guests. Every other place locally charges $200 or more for the cleaning fee. This place relies on the integrity of guests, don’t mess it up for everyone else! Besides that, this little house is special. Great location, beautiful view from the porch.

I'll start with the good things: Little Dome is a lovely and peaceful place to stay. The building is quirky and well cared for, easy to find and comfortable, and the surroundings are beautiful. The not-so-good: -There are an overwhelming number of instructions/notes/platitudes all over the cabin, that contain information of varying degrees of usefulness, from Jeff's angry ramblings about people "getting one over" on him to instructions on how to use the fire place. -There is a massive list of things you have to bring with you and things you have to clean before checking out. I would understand if the price was low but I paid almost $200 a night to be threatened with losing my "deposit" or being dishonest with Jeff about the number of guests. And no, I'm not going to clean windows in my "idle time" as recommended in the cabin handbook. Overall it's a beautiful place, but the stress of Jeff looming over everything made it much less relaxing than I would have liked.

Me and my wife had a amazing time. Lots to do in the area. Mount Princeton, a mile and a half down the road Saint Elmo 5 miles away. My wife love the little chipmunks at the wood pile. It was great to not receive phone calls and just unplug we were up after midnight every night just talking and playing cards

We enjoyed our stay. Fun to stay in an open concept geodesic dome. We were there in mid July and the second floor bedroom runs hot as there is limited means to vent heat from upper area. Mid July can get warm and the sun is intense. Open concept means the upstairs bedroom might hear you making coffee in the morning- not an issue for us. Very private and quiet which we loved. The closest neighbor is 400+ feet. Away from "main" road and road out front has 10 cars per day go by. Amazing to have morning coffee and view the "chalk mountains" that make the area called chalk creek canyon (very white and cliff like mountains). Lots of national parks up the road and fun areas to visit. Great value.
