We are frequent visitors to Montreal and this is our second stay at Brooke’s apartment in 8 months. We will be going back! It delivers everything it promises and the location is ideal. It snowed heavily while we were there and Brooke was right on top of it. On this occasion my husband was working - great WiFi and two good spots he could park his laptop. Thank you Brooke.
The apartment is very transit accessible. Close to groceries/downtown. Brooke was very helpful and quick to respond to questions. Good lighting for a basement apartment though still limited at times. Very comfortable bed. Well set up for a longer-term stay, with well stocked kitchen/bathroom with good bedroom storage. Just to be aware, the desk is less ideal as a long-term work environment (slightly shallow).
The kitchen was set up, better than I expected. With enough pots pans and utensils, to make it convenient to use for cooking Christmas dinner.
We very much appreciated being able to stay once again at Brooke's fine place this 2023 holiday season. Brooke's basement apartment is lovely, a very nice blend of styles, beautifully decorated, with perfect lighting, and is quiet. The location is close to shopping for daily needs, and is on a short street with classic Montreal residences. The downtown area is a closish walk, but also easily walkable are the fine Atwater Market and the many excellent restaurants & shops on Rue Notre-Dame. For steak & frites, we like Mignon on Notre-Dame, and of course Il Focolaio has some of our favourite pizzas ever. Brooke has always responded to any queries in prompt & practical fashion. Brooke had, as in our previous visits, left some very nice treat items, which was very appreciated. From the airport, we usually take the 747 airporter, as it is inexpensive ($11 per person). There is a stop at Guy Street and René-Lévesque Blvd, 4 blocks from Brooke's place. Thank you, Brooke.
Excellent location for visiting Montreal and the apartment was exactly as the listing described. It was extremely comfortable, clean and warm and I would recommend it to anyone visit Montreal. Brooke was always super responsive to my requests.

Hello! I'm Brooke. I am originally from Long Island NY and I come from a family of five children of which I was born last. I've lived in south Florida and have witnessed some amazing tropical storms! My Italian Pop has a very green thumb so I had the privilege of having many kinds of fruit trees in my own backyard. Mango was my favorite. While living in Florida I met my wonderful husband through common friends and after, I moved to Montreal. We were married aboard a cruise liner at the Miami Port. We love boats. I actually had a dream of living on a boat for first year of marriage. Together we love boating, entertaining friends and family and enjoying good conversations around the fire. We absolutely love Montreal and we love to travel. Some of our travels include Shanghai and Shenzhen, China, Hong Kong, Thailand, Malaysia, Italy, Sicily, France, Germany, Switzerland, England, Denmark, Nunavut, St Lucia, Mexico, Bahamas, Quebec and many of the states and islands. We love each place with its special culture, people, language and food. However, I am always so happy to come home to Montreal. I love the smaller populated urban city with its European influences on food, architecture and clothing. I love the Québécois people. Come see it for yourself! Leave your troubles behind and look forward to a relaxing and educational experience as you live the « day to day » alongside Montrealers. Plan well! Book your restaurant reservations ahead!!!
