All we can say about the Baillie Scott Cottage is that is was absolutely stunning. Quiet and cosy, whilst still being very spacious with plenty of room for our party of 3. The setting was lovely; lots of birds in the garden during the day, and very quiet at night. Evelyn met us at check in and gave us the tour of where everything was and how everything worked, and couldn't have been more helpful, showing us the number for local taxi drivers and everything we needed. The basics were provided for us, with milk and butter in the fridge, and a wee welcome basket with bread, cereal, tea and coffee. It was nice to be able to get in and not worry about having to head straight out to pick up the basics. I will definitely be looking to stay again with my partner, and look forward to making another booking!

What a fantastic place to stay. So close to a lot of places to go, and yet so peaceful when peace is needed. Wonderful location. We’re just back from a 4 night stay in the Baillie Scott cottage and we are really kicking ourselves that we didn’t book a longer break. Evelyn and Ralph are brilliant hosts, very welcoming and friendly (the cats made us welcome too). Will definitely book here again, and hopefully soon.

Evelyn (and Ralph) were absolutely fantastic hosts. They were so warm from the time we called them up and how they directed us to their wonderful place. Ralph was so kind to even pick us up from the train station, and then take us to the car rental place to rent a car and then show us around town.... they were so warm, made us feel like family from the beginning and throughout our stay. They had a lot of groceries stocked up when we walked in and were so helpful in every which way possible. The place was incredibly nice and totally matched the description given... and was so peaceful and beautiful..!! The amenities inside the cottage were fantastic and everything was in superb working condition. Very, very clean - the kitchen was well appointed, the beds were fabulous and the bathrooms were clean and had all amenities. The neighborhood was fantastic and so quiet, and the ambience was completely serene and very picturesque. Would highly recommend this place and the hosts for anyone looking for a place in Newport on Tay. The closest bigger town Dundee is only 15 mins away and is an inexpensive cab ride too.
