Sam's surf shack is everything you want in an Airbnb. If you are a solo traveler or traveling with a buddy/lifetime partner it will be the perfect beach side stay for you. If you can't already tell from the pictures, Sam's Airbnb offers an eccentric surf/art/music vibe that is perfect for the beach. The location is great and there is on site parking. The place has some wicked unique amenities that I will let you see for yourself so I don't spoil everything. An amenity I found exceptionally useful (seems small but mighty) was the Culligan cold water dispenser... a weekend filled with lots of sun and drinking = A MUST. The host was just as awesome as the shack. Sam is clearly a rad guy and has tailored his Airbnb for the ultimate guest experience. Sam actually picked my spouse and I up from down the beach as we arrived early to check in. He took time to show us all the useful features of the shack and made us feel at home. A must stay for any beach lover. WE WILL BE BACK. THX U SAM.

Had such an amazing stay! Sam was such a great host and very responsive. Very accommodating and great recommendations. Space was clean and had so many nice features (sound machine, stereo, bath house). The bed was the most comfortable thing I’ve ever laid on. Great vibe for a weekend on the beach. Will definitely be back to this unique and fun spot!

First time to the area. Sam was great with recommendations and fun places to go while visiting. His book had menus from local restaurants for easy convenience. The place was magical at night with the outside shower and private area. Would recommend to anyone.

This is the best AirBnB my fiancé and I have ever stayed in. The Surf Shack is a complete private oasis of peace and bliss. My (now) fiancé and I booked it for an anniversary (and proposal) getaway and it could not have been more perfect. Mornings and evenings on the deck were heaven; the lighting and mood of the deck at night was something out of a movie. Inside the Surf Shack were multiple legit surf boards hanging from the ceiling, along with beautiful beach/surfing artwork. The inside was very clean, very cozy, and surprisingly large. The bathroom was large and comfortable, even with a little area to do make up and hair that my fiancé loved. The location of the Surf Shack was just as great. Steps from the beach, steps from local restaurants and bars, all while maintaining its privacy. We were able to spend hours on the beach while being a 1 minute walk from ocean to front door. On top of all this, Sam was the most responsive and wonderful host we’ve ever had. Will be booking again!

The best shack in wilmington!!!! Close enough to the restaurants and bars that you can hear the live music from your porch!! so close to the beach and i personally recommend taking a few bike rides if the weather is nice!! Sam was the nicest man ever and takes pride in the upkeep of his shack, and his hard work shows!!!! 10/10 will be staying here again!!
