James's apartment in the Marigny is "railroad" style duplex, meaning that you will need to walk through other people's bedrooms if you need to go to the bathroom or the kitchen in the middle of the night. We are a family of four and it wasn't a problem at all for us, but if you're traveling with a group that needs more privacy, know before you go! The location really worked for us. We were within a 10 minute walk of our friends' wedding venue, close to several good restaurants, within an easy walk of Frenchman St., the French Market / French Quarter, and the banks of the Mississippi. There were a few unhomed folks who camped out around the corner near Hank's Seafood and Supermarket, but the ones we met were friendly and polite, not scary. In general, the Marigny is a safe-feeling, friendly residential neighborhood.

We really enjoyed our stay while attending Jazz Fest. The house was clean and well kept. Nicely appointed throughout with comfortable beds and an inviting living room where the days plan was hatched over coffee in the morning and unwound in the evening. Great food and entertainment, easily walkable, in every direction including the French Quarter. James was a cordial host and checking in and out was a breeze. Thanks.

This is a wonderful AirBnB! Clean, cute; exactly as described. It is in a surprisingly quiet neighborhood walking distance from the French Quarter and other attractions in the area. James is a great host; communicative and helpful. No complaints at all about this place - we really enjoyed our stay, and wouldn't hesitate to stay in this same place again!

Perfect stay in a beautiful home! Our party of 3 had an amazing time in the house, so great to return after a long day. Bedrooms and living room were very comfortable. Many bars and restaurants close by. Definitely enjoyed the balance of having a peaceful place to chill, yet having whatever we needed within walking distance. Highly recommend. We had a great stay. We did not do any cooking, but the furniture was super comfy after a long day of exploring New Orleans.
