I stayed 3 months at this location. Brenda and Graham are very kind and accomodating hosts. They're very quick to address any problems, and they keep the house clean. Also, they have lots of information about fun things to do in the area. The location is pleasant and historic, but it's important to know that it's rural and without cell service. However, Brenda and Graham have great internet, and a more urban area like Suffolk is only half an hour away. Highly recommended!

Brenda and Graham are excellent host. The stay with them was wonderful. They are very welcoming and the place is spacious. But the location is more remote than I expected.

Brenda and her husband are an incredibly cool, warm and welcoming young couple. I had a very relaxing stay in this quiet remote country house. It's a bit more remote and rustic than I realized, without much in the vicinity, but I loved it. There is a Family Dollar very close by where you can get most of what you need -- unless you're looking for fresh ingredients, which does require 30-40 minutes of driving. Virginia Beach is an hour away and awesome. There's also Millpond State Park about 15 minutes away, which has a gorgeous lagoon with cheap canoe rentals, and it's an awesome experience I highly recommend. I ended up in a different room because I need an air conditioner to sleep (during the summer months that constituted my stay), and even though this was my own oversight Brenda graciously switched me to a room with an AC without a second thought. Cute cats are a bonus for me, and Flipa the little black and orange kitty is really cute. She was afraid of me so I didn't get to do much petting, but I still liked seeing her :) All in all, highly recommended!
