This is a beautiful character barn with fantastic views of the Devon countryside. We were warmly welcomed by Lucia who showed us round and pointed out local swimming spots, walks and places to eat on the map. These were great recommendations and we had a lovely time walking to quiet, peaceful coves that we probably wouldn’t have discovered otherwise. The barn is semi open plan and very comfortably furnished. The private courtyard garden was a lovely place to sit in the afternoon/evening sunshine and we absolutely loved the hot tub! The farm fresh dairy milk and fresh wildflowers were a lovely touch, along with the owner’s own Salcombe chocolate and yummy ice creams. Lucia has created a little gem here in this pretty and peaceful part of Devon.
We had a wonderful relaxing stay. It made a great base to explore the surrounding area. We visited Salcombe, cycled to Blackpool Sands and went to Dartmouth, as well as enjoying a peaceful relaxing stay in a very well equipped and comfortable place. Lucia was a very friendly host and did everything to ensure we had a wonderful time. Highly recommended.
We so enjoyed our stay. We’d come in need of a rest and a break and found it all very comfortable with everything we needed. A warm welcome from Dan - thank you - and helpful suggestions of where to walk and eat that worked really well for us. Loved Dartmouth and the pub in South Poole. And walking near the farm. A great few days - thank you for making it so perfect. Our batteries are recharged!
We had a lovely weekend getting away from it all in "The Nest" an amazing space with Lucia thinking of every detail for the perfect stay. Our travel was disrupted by a flat tyre and Lucia even helped us find somewhere to get it fixed while we were there, couldn't recommend more and looking forward to a return visit sometime
Booked a last minute stay and Lucia was incredibly helpful and welcoming. The place was lovely and we felt right at home. The fire and hot tub were also great. Thank you!
