Beautiful cabin, would love to stay here again!

This is a beautiful historic home that has some wonderful features: a grand fireplace and hearth, lovely sunroom, and woodwork through the home. Our family of four spent a weekend at Joao’s place so we could easily access Blue Mountain for skiing. It’s a short drive to Blue. Very convenient. The two full bathrooms are a plus. We spent most of our time (when not on the slopes) in the dining room, which is the most spacious and inviting room in the house. Also, thanks to Joao’s recommendation, we had a great meal at the nearby Point Phillips Hotel, a cozy and relaxed smokehouse with delicious BBQ. Joao was very responsive and kind in our communications. Thank you!

We stayed at Joao's over Thanksgiving when visiting family. It was a quick two night visit. We really enjoyed the artwork and decor. The beds were VERY comfortable! The sun porch with the heater was our favorite spot to hang out both in the day and in the evening! Thanks Joao!

It was a pleasure to stay in Joao’s amazing 1812 stone farmhouse. It was a optimal mix of period correct interior details along with tasteful modern conveniences. The collection of art varied from antique religious artifacts to blown glassware. The location was beautiful. Peaceful, picturesque, with abundant wildlife to watch from the sun porch in the morning and evening. The only issue we had was the propane was empty so we couldn’t initially use the stove and oven. Joao reacted instantly and got the bottle filled so we were not at all inconvenienced. The restoration was a work in progress but that in no way detracted from our comfort or enjoyment of the house. I would definitely stay there again and know it will become even more amazing as Joao completes the restoration.
