Lydie's place is wonderful and very comfortable, a little oasis in the middle of a dense neighborhood. The property is exactly as it shows in the photos and is quite beautiful. Even though it's a little challenging to drive to down a very narrow street, it has very good parking and is close to the old city and easy to walk to. The bedrooms are very comfortable, but please note that only 1 bedroom has it's own bath, the other 2 bathrooms and toilets are separated from the bedrooms. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking purposes and we cooked several meals there. The backyard has a lovely seating area and the pool area is easily accessed (when we were there in mid April the pool was not heated and the sauna was not operational). Lydie and her husband are extremely helpful, even if you don't speak French, which we didn't. It was a very comfortable house for our 3 couples and we would definitely return if ever in Avignon again.

We loved Lydie's Place. Our family of 3 couples found this sanctuary a wonderful base for a couple weeks in Avignon. Lydie and Daniel were gracious hosts. The pool was also very well received after each day of travel.

The house in the Rue Camelias is really a peaceful paradise! We really enjoyed our stay and especially the garden, swimming pool and bbq. We hope to come back soon!

A beautiful, restful stay. Lydie & Daniel were at the property to greet us and show us around. The house is the perfect Avignon retreat - 5 min walk to shops, patisserie and the old city walls. The garden is verdant and peaceful and the pool was large and spotless. The kids loved it! When our taxi didn’t arrive at the end of our stay Daniel even gave us a lift to the station. Highly recommended.

We're a group of four Americans who stayed at Lydie and Daniel's flat for the month of June and it was lovely. The flat was comfortable and in good condition, and the pool is absolutely wonderful. Daniel takes very good care of the pool and it's always clean. Lydie and Daniel were quick to respond if we ever had questions, and they kindly gave us some ripe figs from their tree. The flat is conveniently located a short walk from a boulangerie, the train station, a car rental agency, and the Porte Saint-Michel leading into the historic centre ville. The bedroom facing the narrow (and not busy) street has a metal cover on the exterior that can be lowered by pushing a button in the room; it shuts out light and noise nicely. We found that our clothes dried quickly on the drying rack thanks to the dry and breezy climate. We're happy to recommend this flat.
