Brian was a complete gentleman and made us feel at home. Excellent host and excellent characteristically property in a lovely country setting.

The host Brian couldn’t have given us a better welcome, we felt right at home in his company, he gave us his time while we were there and did everything he could to make our visit worthwhile and pleasant which it was, he gave us a tour of the land sat with us over a log fire and shared many memories of his from his time spent on the farm and beyond, very interesting man who has a genuine love for all his animals, The location is perfect and if you want a break from city life this is the spot , where we stayed was clean and it had everything we needed , nice and cosy , peaceful and basic , we really enjoyed the time spent and even got to try archery for the first time, we will not forget our short time spent staying at Brian’s place and hopefully we can find another opportunity to do it again, thanks for having us and best of luck for the future/ Gavin & Laura

Nasty. The place was dirty and smelled of musty. There was bird poo on the inside window sill. The bathroom was horrible. No where comfortable to sit downstairs. TV didn’t work. No hot water in the morning because Brian forgot to put it on. I cannot understand the positive reviews of this place. The final straw was when one of Brian’s dogs came in the premises and did a poo! We snuck off a day early and from what I can see we are not the first to do this. To be fair Brian was friendly.

Brian and his dogs were wonderful hosts and really made us feel welcome. It was a great break from city living and exploring the property with Brian was a special treat. We even tried clay shooting and got a show from the sheepdogs herding the sheep : ) He lit a fire for us in the evening in the carriage house which we enjoyed with Brian and a lovely family from Australia. Cannot say enough nice things about our stay. Our only regret is it was too short! We will be back and recommending Brian's place to friends and family, too.

Staying with Brian was refreshing, the opportunity to stay on a historical estate with the friendliest host and loving animals. The room was very rustic and very authentic whilst remaining inviting throughout, had all the essentials and hot water. The bed was very comfy and the open style roof was very cool. The mud hut was a substantial part of our stay, very unique and the inviting centre fire. On our final night we had traditional music playing and stories by the fire with Brian and other lovely guests. Sadly didn’t get to fit in the activities provided but will definitely be back to try out the archery, clay pigeon shooting and horse riding. Definitely recommend anyone to stay with Brian, lovely host.
