自我介绍

Hello, my name is Yuki. We are a Japanese couple. We moved from Nagoya city in 2009, attracted by the great nature of Yakushima, and we run a hostel since then. My husband and I used to work for major travel agencies, so we like and are good at helping to organize trips and taking care of guests. We give our guests, both domestic and international, lots of information and assistance to make their trip as easy and enjoyable as possible. My husband Toru fishes and grow organic vegetables and tropical fruits for our guests. He also knows the trails in Yakushima very well. I enjoy cooking, painting and stained glass making very much. I had also worked in macrobiotic and vegan restaurants and bakery. I speak English and a little French (please speak to me very slowly when you speak to me in French!). We both love travelling and meeting people. It is very exciting for us to meet guests from different countries with different cultures and traditions. We feel very happy whenever we see wedding and baby photos and greeting cards sent to us by guests who have stayed at the hostel before. Basically we respect the privacy of guests, but guests who like to chat or have questions should feel free to talk to Yuki. We do not enter guests' rooms during their stay; from the third day onwards, we will change the sheets and clean the room if you wish, so do not hesitate to let us know before you go out. Please do not hesitate to let us know it, even before the third day, if necessary. Just let us know if there's anything we can make your stay more comfortable. Thanks for reading.
