Although peaceful and relaxing, the accommodation was very dated and tired. Cooking in the kitchen was quite difficult with such poor lighting (one downlighter).

Lovely cottage. Well thought out practical, but beautiful, accomodation. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Gorgeous surroundings, easily located with google maps (even though it feels very remote, down some single track roads) Sutton bank visitors centre is so close and well worth a visit for lovely walks, great cafe, cool play area & gift shop...and it's dog friendly too! Hope to go back soon.

Absolutely fantastic - clean, comfortable and a charming location. We had a group of 6 adults and there was plenty of space with each room having an en-suite. Great quality bedding/linens too! Overall exceeded expectations.

An extremely beautiful part of the world. We heard owls at dinner, saw deer on our drive through the village, enjoyed the waterfall walk at Goathland, the steam train from Pickering, a beautiful river walk, Byland Abbey, quaint towns dressed for Christmas and a stop at York all within our three night visit. Jess’s cottage was clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable short break over new year for our family of four and large labradoodle. Please read the listing though, the fire in the photos is decorative only. Not a great loss when you’re in such a beautiful area. Thanks for a great break Jess.
