Great peaceful place, amazing location, perfect stay

We had a nice two-days stay in one of the Jeannemarie's 2-bedrooms places. The bedrooms were spacious enough to accommodate three adults (a couple with a friend), the sitting room has a table with three chairs and a couch. We especially appreciated having a kitchen, although we could use more tools, such a sharp knife, for example (although I speculate that the absence of a bread knife was for a good reason not to give people a weapon). We really enjoyed having a table and chairs outside where we could have dinner in the evening and enjoy the starry night. There is a big lawn in front of the compound, surrounded by the forest. Deers were our frequent guests. There is a pool, but we decided not to use it because the weather was not that hot. The apartment is nothing fancy, but nice and affordable. There are problems, like sulfur in the water that made my silver ring brown, letting along a bad sulfur smell in the bathroom and the apartment. It's common in the area, so there is nothing the owners can do about that. But sulfur doesn't have any harmful health effects, so you get used to the smell, just remember to take off your silver jewelry. Jeannemarie was very responsive. Overall, we give it 4 stars. It's a good value for the price.

We had such a wonderful experience here! Jeannemarie was responsive from the day of booking until the end. The place is clean, and the pool is perfect. I’d stay here again, but I would bring my bug spray next time! Nothing particular about bugs here, but it’s a bit remote in the Catskills and is a must anywhere. Cairo is conveniently just a few minutes away, and there is so much stuff to do in the area. Thank you, Jeannemarie, for a great and hospitable stay.

I had a great stay at Jeannemarie’s place. The apartment was spacious, clean and comfortable, and the setting is beautiful. Loved the pool, the chairs and the picnic table outside. There’s also a grill for each guest’s use. Communication and check in could not have been easier. I hope to return with my dog, as it seems very dog friendly, and I enjoyed seeing the couple of dogs that were visiting. I didn’t have time on this visit to walk down to the creek, but the path down looks beautiful.

The apartment was sparkling clean and very comfortable for my family of four. The kitchen has everything you need to cook, and the personal grill and picnic table right outside of the unit made sharing outside space safe and simple. We all enjoyed a refreshing dip in the pool after hiking through nearby trails. (Which were beautiful). The location is great, and Jeannemarie is a responsive and gracious host!
