It was a great place for our family, plenty of room and rooms, a fully functional kitchen with enough dishes for an army. The rooms were nicely done with great furniture and interested photographs. Beautiful location with a lot of stars. You can't really see the river, but you can walk down to it and could hear it.

Spacious place with lots of character. A big kitchen and huge dining room table were big pluses. A screened porch offered morning and evening opportunities to enjoy the hills was a real pleasure, too. But keep in mind, there is no river view unless you stay in the little cabin. The river is close but you have to take a walk to see it. And, the ‘ensuite’ bathroom in the master is as small as a bathroom can be; we could barely move in the stand up shower. Also, the fixtures were a bit dowdy; neither bathroom has been updated. But the beds were good, the living room furniture and art classic and interesting, the kitchen eminently useable - and user friendly, and the location very pretty and convenient to the charming town of Winthrop. It was fine for our family of four but with significant cleaning and VRBO fees, I’m afraid we found the two bedroom option a bit overpriced. It was very good but not great.

A great spot with great hosts who went above and beyond to help us stay cool over a very hot weekend. We loved the comfortable vibe and the great kitchen/dining area. The place is very neat and well stocked. Would love to come back sometime.
