Tom is a friendly and welcoming man and he has a cozy, eclectic house that is fun to explore! He was very understanding when I asked to keep the cat out of my room, much appreciated! I struggled a bit to find the place but it is quite easy really, when you see The Firs written in big lettering. Breakfast spread is amazing (although I took my own). I got the attic room which was comfy, had en-suite and tea facilities so I didn't have to go down to the kitchen. The only things I noticed were that you can hear cars from the main road, shower starts flooding from the start (like sinks) so I felt I had to rush (due to macerator toilet system I think) and as a solo female I would appreciate a more robust lock to the room. Tom is a very caring host. The Duck Room is lovely with a view to the North. The separate bathroom has a shower over the bath. You will never take in everything that Tom has around his house and garden in one visit.

Tom couldn't have done more to make us feel welcome and at ease. We really enjoyed his home - there's so much to look at! We found it very comfortable and had everything we needed. Would love to stay again. Thanks Tom!
