The house in general was lovely but the dishes in the cupboard were dirty and the dishwasher did not clean properly (so presumably they’d just put the dirty dishes away). The iron could not be located as it was not where they said. There were bugs (dead and alive) everywhere and it did not look like it had been dusted. The mattress on the double bed in the room above number 4 was so hard and worn down. There was no bin lid on the main kitchen bin so it smelt. Finally, I informed the company I would be bringing more than 4 cars and asked if I should park down the road in unmarked spaces as I did when I previously stayed here, which they said was fine. One person incorrectly parked elsewhere and we happily moved this. A neighbour was angry with us and wanted our cars moved. The company then informed me I cannot park there and sent me a map and admitted their mistake in not doing so prior. They were rude and inappropriate. I’d spent an hour trying to sort things and it ruined my stay.

The Large Holiday Rental Company (namely Morgan and Sarah) were excellent at communicating before and during our stay - so friendly and helpful. I can’t actually comment on this particular property as we were kindly offered an upgrade in to their larger sister property at last minute (which we snapped up!) - it seemed very similar though, and we had a great stay. I’d definitely recommend the company!

A great trip and well (purpose built) design which suits large groups. We were on a stag do and it fit the bill. Butter, milk and bread were waiting for our arrival. Although the pub is about a mile away, it’s a big old hill you’ve got to climb up to get to the house. Beautiful area and easy to get into Bath.

We stayed here for a friends hen do and had a lovely time! The hosts were great and incredibly helpful. They responded to all of my questions and even gave recommendations and extra parking etc. The property was lovely. Very spacious and the rooms were all a good size. The kitchen diner was brilliant and everyone loved the hot tub! The beds were really comfy and linens/towels were all pristine. The only down side I would say was that, although it didn't impact on our stay at all, the property was a little tired in places and where it's a converted barn, there is clearly a bit of a damp issue as there were quite a lot of woodlice in the ground floor rooms (mainly the lounge). As I say, none of it really impacted our stay and we had a lovely time, but worth noting if you're not a fan of bugs!

We had a great hen weekend at the property however there were a few negatives: 1. The outdoor seating area was not at all like the pictures & the sofas were filthy. They were covered in stains, there were two broken storage containers & an exposed dug up pipe in the garden. 2. There was cctv in the garden & the camera was pointing into the upstairs bedroom window which made those staying in the room uncomfortable. 3. Whilst in the hot tub there were rats running around (we saw 3 at the same time). We recognise its rural but this did put us off going back outside after we saw them. 4. We received a call from Luxury escapes on the first night (9.24pm) stating there had been complaints about noise. At this point we had sung ONE song inside the house. 5. Sink in upstairs bedroom smelt stagnant. 6. Generally needs some TLC-paintwork, dusting down the sides of beds, sofas stained etc 7. Extractor fan didn’t work so the fire alarm kept going off. 8. Neighbours watched us arrive & leave
