I have stayed at Mākena Surf 20+ times over the years. It’s the best condo complex on the island. The B pool is never windy. The hot tubs are always hot. There are very few people around. As far as this particular condo is vs others. (1)this is a two bedroom. But it is much larger than the ones in the G,F,& B buildings. Double the patio space as the others (2) view is fantastic. Can’t beat it (3) everything you need is provided in the condo. (4) this one is cheaper because it has not been renovated. That’s fine because the appliances are new, and the beds are comfortable. Bathrooms are large. I would probably rent this one again, given that it is cheaper and larger. Despite not being renovated.

Amazing location and views. Everything was functional, just not as well stocked as other places we’ve stayed.

The pictures attracted me to this unit, and in-person it was even better than I had expected with a wonderful view of the well-kept grounds, the beach and ocean. The pool can be seen through the trees from the lanai, but does not take away from the feeling of privacy and never took away from the calming experience of the ocean waves. The sunset cannot be directly seen from the lanai, but I appreciated that the lanai kept from getting too cool, and with the beach right there, we would just walk down and have pupu's or a picnic on the beach during sunset. No complaints with this place, and a great place to relax worry-free with lots to see and enjoy from the expansive lanai!

Great views from the condo. Lovely beach. Easy to walk the short distance to the beach.
