We have been hosting artists, friends and family in our studio guest suite for over 25 years. Just 10 minutes from downtown, nestled in a birch forest. This clean, cozy and private suite sits above our separate, (not for guest use) Howling Bear Studio, a multimedia facility in operation since 1987. Close to nature hikes and world class cross country skiing. Recently remodeled bathroom and kitchenette, comfortable full size bed in bedroom on main floor, and a sleeping loft above, with king bed. This quaint guest space above our totally separate Howling Bear Studio is accessible only by stairs and is not wheelchair-friendly. The suite is in a great location to view Northern Lights that often play directly above the property. The double bed is in the bedroom on the main floor. The king size bed is on the floor of the loft. Users should be physically able to safely climb and descend a ladder. Please view photos with ladder to access the loft before booking.

If you're visiting Fairbanks, this is by far the best place to relax. Above and beyond what you're used to. 10 star rating is more appropriate. I will stay here anytime I can.
IF YOU’RE GOING TO FAIRBANKS THIS IS IT!!!! Probably one of the best hosts of any Airbnb I’ve stayed at. So so hospitable quick reply, friendly, beautiful location 10/10. The home itself was very cute. The heating stopped at one point but the host came to our rescue almost immediately. The beds were super comfortable, the surroundings were stunning. We’d recommend you get a rental car if you’re going to stay in Fairbanks. Possibly the best Airbnb we’ve stayed at. We couldn’t recommend it more!
An old high school friend of mine and I stayed during the last week of March to catch the aurora and explore Fairbanks. Diane and Greg were absolutely wonderful hosts. They were full of interesting stories and gave us guided tours of the area and community that made us feel at home and connected to the beautiful space. The studio itself is very cozy and unique, and was a perfect fit for our adventure. They made our short two night stay into something really special and we hope to visit again someday.
What an amazing place. A spacious, charming, and peaceful cabin in the woods. So cozy, and clean! We loved the property and everything about this place! The cabin has everything you need, and very comfortable beds. Diane (our host), is wonderful! She took us in a little hike through the property, and baked my friend delicious cupcakes for her birthday. Just really nice touches that means a lot! I will come back and stay here every time when visiting the Fairbanks area.
This accommodation was perfect for our purposes, attending the Sonot Kazoot ski race at Birch Hill. It was just a few minutes away. Diane had thought of every detail for a welcoming environment, treats, breakfast supplies and even a small gift from their pottery studio. This was easy the cleanest rental we had ever stayed in.

A rural residential area with wonderful neighbors.
Our little neighborhood is off the beaten path, but still less than 10 minutes from town. You’ll have your own parking spot, and local treks require only a comfortable pair of shoes, bug dope in the summer or warm mittens and boots in the winter.
