We enjoyed our stay at the cottage. As others have commented, the cottage is even prettier than the pictures on the Airbnb site and everything was clean and well maintained. The front porch dining area was a nice place to have meals and do some work and use the good Wi-Fi. We also enjoyed sitting outside on the side porch. We had fun exploring Rockport Harbor, Rockland, and Camden and it was very easy to get to all of them from the cottage, which is just off Route 1 but on a very pretty street. The beach across the street is a typical Maine beach with pretty views. It was very quiet the afternoon we were there. Felicia was communicative and answered our questions. If you need a firm bed, though, the cottage might not be your best choice although some other reviewers described the bed as comfortable. Overall, we had a wonderful four night stay.

Our stay at Anchors Away was an excellent experience. The home is newly renovated, very comfortable and especially clean. The kitchen comes with essentials but we didn’t cook much as there are many wonderful dining options in the Rockport-Rockland-Camden area. The backyard features a lovely small pond and the shore is across the street and down some steps as listed. We found the neighborhood very walkable, including a nice, long walk to the Rockland Breakwater Lighthouse. Felicia is a gracious and accessible host who communicated well. She takes pride in offering an excellent experience. We would recommend this property to anyone traveling as a couple or solo to this beautiful part of Maine.

This is an amazing pocket of the world. The private beach access feels a little uneasy at first walking through someone else’s backyard, but once there it’s like having an entire cove to yourself! The few people we ran in to on the beach were either off-the-beaten-path vacationers like ourselves or locals, and all were welcoming. Absolutely gorgeous and serene. The place itself was spotless and quiet, and the pond in the back is the source of much amusement, especially the neat sounds emanating in the evening hours. The decor was cool and theme oriented: anchors away! It was the perfect place to drop anchor after spending our day jet setting around the nearby towns and islands. Wifi is top notch and kitchen amenities were plenty sufficient. The bed is super comfy and the extra blanket in the closet was definitely utilized for some cozy moments. Highly recommended!
