Had a bit of a bumpy start, because I didn't arrive until 11pm. Unfortunately, the key code I was provided was incorrect, and because it was so late, I couldn't reach anyone. However, we got everything squared away the next day, and l love Jean and Richard, and their cottage is lovely. I can't wait to stay there again
The cabin is cute and comfortable, well-located and just as described. We’ll definitely stay again on our next trip out west.
This place is amazing! Beautifully decorated with above and beyond amenities. Homemade cookies, selection of coffees, and spices for cooking provided! To our minds there is no other place we’d rather be when we aren’t in the presence of cowboy poets and singers. Thank you!!
We just left after our 3rd stay. We absolutely love everything about their place. We'll be back for sure.

Jean and Richard owners of Texana, Candelilla and Wayfarers cottages have lived a busy life of several interesting careers, but finally settled down as retired educators. They have six children and dozens of grandchildren and great grandchildren. They met and married in Alpine, but lived abroad for some time and traveled the world. Alpine was always calling us home and now we’re happy hosting guests who are on their own adventures in a place we so dearly love. Our property is filled with elements that tell the stories of our travels and wonderful family.
