We enjoyed 3 nights at the cabin and loved watching the wildlife. It’s very quiet and private. The hosts description is accurate. It’s a dusty wooden cabin in the woods so if that doesn’t appeal then maybe this is not for you. If however you believe Airbnb is about making memories (as I do) then this is a special place. Kayaking around the lake was beautiful. The host was very helpful with his communication. I personally was glad we had a 4x4 SUV for the track after the rain. Special place.

What a peaceful and private cabin setting while being fairly close to town. We loved sitting on the porch, watching the birds, and getting out on the pond with the boats that were available to us. The host was exceptionally communicative and we would 100% come again!

Perfect place to run away and hide. Absolutely beautiful more birds than you could imagine. And every morning the sunrise was stunning. We’re entertained by an osprey Mother catching fish in the pond and feeding her fledgling. Catfish all three days and cooked them on hickory sticks on the grill.

This place is amazing. Please heed the hosts warnings about spiders and critters. If you can’t handle that, you shouldn’t go. This is a hidden gem in our opinion. It’s beautiful, private, cozy, and perfect for a couple wanting to get away to spend time with each other. It’s a very old home and it took my wife and I back in time, when life was much simpler. There’s gaps around the doors and floor boards and the floor boards shift and move when you walk. It’s absolutely awesome. It’s like spending the weekend in an old museum home. We walked the trail, canoed and kayaked on the lake, fished (caught nothing), built a fire in the fireplace, and just spent time together. The town of Prosperity is really close so there’s restaurants and a grocery store nearby. The road back to the cabin might be a little bumpy for a car but the destination is worth it. My truck had no problem. This is one of the best places we’ve ever stayed and we will definitely be returning. Thanks for sharing this home!

We loved our long weekend here! We wanted to get away from life and this was just the place. Beautifully secluded and private. We did not see another person except when we drove back to town. We were very comfortable here and can't wait to book another weekend!
