John en Jane zijn zo’n vriendelijke, oprechte, lieve en warme mensen. Het is aangenaam vertoeven daar. We waren geschrokken van al het extra’s wat ze voorzien, en dat doen ze enkel en alleen vanuit hun goede hart. Ook is alles, maar dan ook alles, voorzien in het huisje. Wat je ook nodig hebt, het is er. En moest het niet zo zijn, kan je altijd terecht bij John en Jane. Ze zijn er, en toch heb je alle privacy die je wil. Ook het diner van John is aan te raden. Heerlijk! Ochtendzwem in het frisse water, genieten van de stilte en de rust in de tuin, lezen in de hangmat, liefde krijgen van Claude en Henri (de katten), … noem maar op. Wij hebben er een lekker luie paar dagen van gemaakt :-) Bedankt, John en Jane. Het was heerlijk.

We had the most amazing stay at ‘La Cottage’and will certainly be back. The cottage is located in the beautiful village of Villeret which is 10km from the nearest town of Ruffec where you can shop and go kayaking. The cottage is the most well equipped place I have ever stayed in with everything you need as a cook (John the owner is a chef and will often treat you with his creations which we’re delicious). We often spent days relaxing by the heated pool or walking / running in the beautiful countryside (John showed us a 5km and 10km route).

We (2ad, 1ch-6) have just had the best long-stay in the luxury cottage hosted by John & Jane. The support provided surpassed any AirBNB we have used & included; help w/ car hire booking (before & translation services @pickup), helpful tips on what to see and do, bikes & cycle routes, train transfers, and providing us with tasty treats! The cottage is kitted out to an incredible standard, w/ high tech gadgets & beautiful beams & classic Charente stone walls. I worked for 2 weeks & was able to work easily with the wifi speed, in a great space. The inside is matched, if not surpassed by the outside - a large pool (fitted with an alarm), sun loungers and hammocks nested among the trees make for a perfect place to kick a ball, or chill out. There's a beautiful private area for guests to BBQ / Apero / dine alfresco in the glorious sunshine that we had for our visit. John is trained to Michelin standard & we enjoyed - from wood fired Pizza, Middle Eastern, & a cold buffet- all amazing!

Nous avons passé 15 jours dans le cottage de John et sommes ravis de notre séjour ! John est aux petits soins pour ses hôtes : à la fois disponible et très discret il a su rendre notre séjour très agréable ! On se sent comme à la maison dans ce logement qui est parfaitement équipé : il y’a tout le matériel nécessaire pour cuisiner et la literie est confortable ! John a tout fait pour nous offrir une prestation de grande qualité, c’est définitivement un hôte que nous recommandons avec enthousiasme !

Encore un énorme merci à John pour son hospitalité, sa disponibilité et toutes ses petites et grandes attentions. Un séjour très réussi, rien ne manque, c'était parfait.
