We had a very enjoyable stay in one of Placido’s properties. The communication was excellent, both before arrival and once we had arrived. We particularly appreciated recommendations on where to go and where to eat, complete with links for directions. The setting itself was very peaceful and private and our toddler loved the pool (as did we!). It was great that there were more than enough umbrellas and chairs by the pool too. The property itself was very comfortable with everything that we needed, including highchair and a beautifully made-up cot. The only slight niggle was that the listing included a microwave (which was part of the reason why we had chosen this property over another) but there wasn’t one in the property. This wasn’t too much of a problem for us as we would have mainly used it for sterilising baby bottles but had alternatives but it was a surprise. This was the only point worth mentioning - everything else was great and just as described or better. Thank you!

This place was a private compound. Giarre is a very interesting town, which I should have researched further, however, Placido’s home takes your breath away the moment you enter the gate and lacks for nothing. They were extremely helpful in recommending places to eat and visit. Also, front row seat to Mt Etna views. Peaceful and quiet surroundings. The pool was a huge plus and the property is kept in immaculate condition. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting Taormina or Catania as it is located about 20minutes from his home. Thank you, Placido (Borgo Placido) and thank you for your hospitality and attention to detail!

A lovely hidden away spot. House was clean and well equipped. Communication excellent with great recommendations and bookings made for us for local restaurants. Five star place and service!

We had a great stay in the detached stone 2-bedroom house. Placido has a great attention to details: we particularly appreciated the supply of condiments, coffee to keep you started and/or not have to shop for things you will only need a few times. It felt really safe for our kids to run around and enjoy the pool. Placido and Alessandra were always available to provide advice and recommendations. Thank you!
