We had a wonderful stay in Jon’s house. The house is gorgeous and rustic with lots of beautiful features. We were blessed with warm weather but always felt cool inside the house. The pool was well maintained and very well used by our children. We spent many an hour relaxing by the pool while the kids played in the water. The garden is wonderful with lots of secret areas to explore and different areas to sit, eat and relax. My children enjoyed the local wildlife spots in the garden - butterflies, birds, insects and lots of bird of prey sightings. Jon was a fantastic host. We had a friendly welcome and he remained available to answer questions and queries throughout our stay. However, he wasn’t intrusive and respected our privacy. We hired Jon’s boat for the day for a relaxing few hours on the Dordogone. I would highly recommend! Thank you Jon.

Jon is a kind caring host striking perfect balance of engaging and at the same time respecting your privacy. Jon provided us with plenty of recommendations of the surrounding areas and was always there to guide us when needed. The house was beautiful and the garden was very welcoming. Both of the pools were used several times every day and was very well kept. All in all - a great stay

What a fabulous enchanting property. Jon has created a very relaxing and unique home which we all enjoyed, from the very large swimming pool to the refreshing plunge pool next to the shaded terrace , comfortable totally chilled out lounge, well equipped kitchen, massive utility room and the cosy comfortable beds. It was 38c every day during our stay so the half meter thick stone walls made the interior incredibly cool. Undoubtably the 2 large wood burners wood make the space very cosy in the cooler months also. Jon has a detailed booklet on the surrounding area with restaurant, bakery, market recommendations and local vineyards of which there are many. A highlight was an afternoon on The Dordogne river on Jon's fly fishing boat. Hamper packed we enjoyed time sitting on a beach and swimming in the crystal clear water. Only telling the kids afterwards about the giant catfish that call this river home also. We would not hesitate to recommend this property and hope to visit again one day. Our only regret was that our schedule did not allow for a longer stay.
