It was a treat to stay at the Wakefield Farmhouse. It was very clean, inviting and felt like home. A great location in a peaceful, residential neighborhood with a huge front porch and yard with plenty of off street parking. It was within easy driving distance to area beaches, bike paths, pickle ball courts, Brickley’s ice cream shop, supermarkets, restaurants and the Kingston Amtrak train station. The space was well appointed with everything we needed. The host Jeff was welcoming, quickly available by email, and accommodated my request for an earlier check in. We look forward to staying again next summer. Thanks again, Jeff.

Great place to stay at for a week on the beach! Wakefield is a fun town 2 mins from house. Front yard was perfect for kids to play.

3.5/5 stars - [we were there visiting family, rather familiar with the local area - for 9 nights in summer peak time] Pros (in order of importance): 1. local beach parking pass 2. AC & bedding - lots of other Airbnb/VRBOs don't have AC or you have to RENT beddings elsewhere 3. modern interior Cons (in order of inconvenience): 1. washer/drier - barely usable/broken - cycle starts and stops with error messages not included in the manual, clothes wet or damp. 4-5 hours/load, NOT the 2+ hours/load the host describes AFTER we book. The booking includes washer and drier as if they were fully functional. 2. amenities problems - most are cheap to fix: - No hand soap for 3 sinks (kitchen and 2 bathrooms) - pots/pans provided are incompatible with the electric stove, with the far-lesser-used air fryer and blender provided - no butter/oil or tinfoil - With this AND the pan/stove problem above, we couldn't even cook eggs - RATIONED supplies - 5 dishwasher pods 3 laundry pods 3 Kcups 0 trashbag
