The place is very very central. You could not be in a better place during the Fringe festival. The apartment itself is in a relatively good state. Its an old apartment. But we were not in a lot during the festival and for us it was just perfectly located. Amber communicated well with us how to get in beforehand. We would definitely come again during the festival.

Era bastante conforme a la descripción, pero no había tele y el colchón de la cama doble era muy malo (blando). Los utensilios de cocina eran escasos y algo sucios, al igual que los fogones. Las escaleras para acceder también algo a tener en cuenta. Por lo demás todo bien, es un apartamento sencillo que para el precio y la ubicación es aceptable.

The places is on a great location, accessible to all shops, grocery, restaurants, bars. However the location is quiet unsafe for family and solo women travellers. It’s a bit shady at night even around 9pm. The place is on 2nd floor, the stairs have no lights, which was a bit tough to get around. The place is quiet old and squeaky. But adjustable for a day or two trip. Not recommended for longer stays.

The host communicated well and was able to accommodate to our needs. The location isn’t the best and the view from the apartment aren’t great either. The apartment doesn’t have a modern feel to it and needs to be renovated. It felt like I was in Asia instead of Edinburgh. I was very disappointed at seeing the flat in person.

Stayed 2 weeks Pros- Responsive when we reached out on 1st day Proximity to things we wanted to see 2 grocery stores across street Cons- Very noisy into late hours of night on street in front of unit- negatively impacted our sleep, esp since windows aren’t well insulated & we could easily hear ppl talking, singing, yelling... Uneven narrow spiral stairs up to unit Toilet is very temperamental Kitchen & bathroom sink H2O doesn’t warm up Shower handle is broken- have to hold head BAD neighborhood- 3 fights on street in front of stores & multiple ppl being tossed out, man peeing on steps in front of our door, 2 times ppl were being arrested, didn’t feel safe walking through enclosed alley you have to go through to get to door Muggy smell in bathroom Listed dishes, silverware, etc BUT silverware, dishes, cookware, & esp cups are incredibly disgusting- completely unusable. We couldn’t clean any of the pots, etc bcs H2O didn’t warm up to a safe cleaning temperature Definitely overpriced!!!
