Our stay in Dan & Glenda’s rustic shanty was incredible, exceeded all expectations! Dan & Glenda are so kind and put continuous effort into making sure that their guests have a fantastic stay. The property is exquisite with so many fun and creative details for guests to enjoy. Beautiful animals, stunning views and a peaceful getaway for all to enjoy! Not to mention the fire pit, outdoor village/chicken coop, hammocks, fire warmed hot tub and so much more! Would highly recommend making a stop at Dan & Glenda’s if you have the chance, and with so much to enjoy you’ll definitely want to stay for multiple nights!
Amazing experience! Cute farm with lots of animals and rustic country feel. Dan & Glenda were super friendly and went out of their way to make us feel at home. Would definitely recommend and am looking forward to staying here again!

What brought us to Airbnb you ask, our answer is our friends. We have shared our home with friends and guests from Canada, as well as Australia and Switzerland. Numerous times we were told we need to share this with others, but we were not sure how. Then Airbnb was brought up many times. So here we are on our new adventure. My wife (Glenda), and myself enjoy living outside of the big city - we are 20 minutes from Olds, 30 minutes from Red Deer, and 1 hour from Calgary, Alberta. If you happen to go into Calgary and ride the transit system there, we just might be the bus driver helping you reach your destination. Both my wife and myself drive for Calgary Transit when not at the farm. After a long day of work in the hectic, busy city we love coming home to our small hobby farm with our cats, dogs, horses, alpacas, chickens and fish. All of which keep us happily busy. The skies at night are amazing with the views of the stars. We enjoy watching them while sitting by our fire pit, and yes you can see the Northern lights some evenings. We are surround by the beauty of wild life that lives here, moose, deer, antelope, hawks, bald eagles, great horned owls, snowy owls just to name a few. When we are not busy doing our farm chores we enjoy day trips. There are so many amazing sights in Alberta to see and you really don't have to go far. For example in any two hour distance you can go north to see the capital Edmonton, East to Drumheller home of the dinosaurs, South to Waterton and the Prince Edward Hotel, and West to Banff (just to name a few spots) When we have been able to take longer time away we have enjoyed Austria, Germany, Switzerland,Prague, Mexico, various USA cities, and most of Canada. We hope sometime in the future to see the few spots we haven't, being Churchill, Manitoba to see the Polar Bears, North West Territories, and NewFoundland. Farther adventures would be the Ukraine, Poland, Romania, Australia, New Zealand, Whales, Ireland, Scotland and Greece. When we are not on a day trip or longer adventure, you just might find us doing our other love. Shh - don't tell anyone this is a secret. Everyone wants to know what Santa does after his busy Christmas season. Well I can tell you the answer if your ready - He's a farmer in Alberta. That's correct at anytime in the year, not just December, you just might see Santa and Mrs. Claus around the farm. But sorry no reindeer our little farm isn't big enough for them to roam on. So now you know a little about us, and we look forward to getting to know more about you. May you find and enjoy the peace and beauty here at DannyGlen Mânas (pronounced Mains - it is Celtic for farm) that we have, and hope you "Have a diamond day!"
