The cottage is in village Parvada, Mukteshwar, on one of the highest peaks in the region which gives it a unique location with Himalayan & sunrise views in the front and sunset views in the back. The cottage is located on 8 naalis of land, about 2000sq yards, nestled between a dense oak forest on its back and farmland in the front. The Cottage Esqape Chaukhuta is a 2BHK, 1800 sq feet villa inside a 2000sq yard private hilltop estate. It has 2 bedrooms with attached bathrooms, a living & dining room, kitchen, a large, covered verandah, gardens and other open spaces. All of the above looking over the Himalayan snow peaks. The living room has lounge seating and a dining table, a large verandah overlooking the snow peaks. There is a fully equipped kitchen with all required equipment, cutlery and crockery. The estate is located about 15-30 mins driving from the most popular sites of Mukteshwar, at the same time secluded from the main highway. ~ The bedrooms The bedrooms have attached bathrooms, a king size bed & large windows. The expansive windows bring in the soft morning sun and invite you to enjoy panoramic views of the Himalayan snow peaks, right from your bed. 2. The Destination ~ Unlike other hill stations, Mukteshwar is a place to enjoy nature & silence. We are located on the highest hill in Mukteshwar at 7,000 ft ASL with panoramic views of the Himalayan snow-peaks & the valley. Besides the Mukteshwar Dham temple, Chauli ki Jaali, some waterfalls & a few cafes there is not much for sightseeing. Mukteshwar & the cottage are a place to enjoy nature, take hikes, catch up on your reading & spend time with your friends and family. 3. The Drive ~ The drive to the cottage is an easy and gradual hill drive. The last 5mins is a steep drive, but on a very good road. If you leave Delhi NCR before 6 AM you can reach within 7-8 hours with 2 quick stops. Number of Guests ~ We can accommodate 4-5 adults and/or kids comfortably. 2 guests on the large double beds in the bedrooms and 1 adults or kids on an extra bed (mattress on the floor). 5. Internet & Wifi ~ We have a complimentary wifi connection with almost no downtime. When if there is any issue, ISP is very quick to fix it. Voda, Idea, Airtel, BSNL networks work very well, Jio has issues. 6. Kitchen & Cooking ~ Self-cooking is allowed. We provide a fully equipped and functional kitchen with basic cooking utensils, microwave, fridge, cutlery & crockery, gas stove, hot water kettle, mixer-grinder, bread toaster, sandwich maker, induction plate. All ingredients need to be purchased. We only provide spices. The neighborhood grocery store is only 5mins driving, and they also deliver. ~ Cook on hire. You can also hire a cook for the day @Rs 1500/day. Summer Months - May June, NYE dates 23 Dec-3rd Jan Rs 1,800/day. He will cook all 3 meals, you have to provide the ingredients. Cook is not our employee, he needs to be booked in advance. Might not be available at the last minute. He is good at delicious and simple homecooked and local Kumaoni food. Once he is hired for the day, he has to be paid for the day even if you don't get one of the meals cooked. Please do not ask the cook to go to the market walking, to buy the groceries. 7. Hot water & Save Water ~ Please do not waste water, it is a very limited resource in the Mukteshwar and we have to buy every drop of it. We have a geyser in the bathroom and an instant geyser in the kitchen too. AVOID long showers. 8. Children ~ Children are welcome. For kids below the age of 12, there is a security deposit of Rs 1000/day, paid in cash to the caretaker and refunded at checkout if there are no damages. Children above 12 are treated as adults and full charges apply. 9. Our Staff ~ Caretaker will clean the house once a day and then leave. If you hire a cook he will also come during meal times and prepare whatever you like. If you need him at any other time he is available on call. He lives in the same estate, in the house below the cottage. Please do not ask the staff to go and get the groceries on foot. Any tips can be given to him directly. 10. Parking ~ Parking is right in front of cottage. You have to walk about 15 steps to reach the cottage. 11. Neighbors & Neighborhood ~ We are surrounded by Kumaoni families living in their farms and beautiful homes and you are a guest in their village. Please be respectful of their home and do not make noise or throw garbage or litter in or around the house. 12. Noise or Disturbance. ~ Playing loud music or creating any noise or nuisance is strictly not allowed. Please enjoy the house while respecting everyone's space and privacy. 13. Damage to Property ~ Please be very careful with the usage of the property and everything in it. We are located 3 hours away from any big cities and any repair, maintenance and upkeep is very difficult in Mukteshwar. If you damage anything you will be required to pay for the repairs. 14. Cabs, buses, trains & How to reach. ~ Mukteshwar is easily reachable by car, train or bus. For driving, we will send you instructions in the Escape Mukteshwar Travel Guide. Buses from all major towns in the north reach Haldwani and from there you can take local buses or a cab. It's a 3-hours drive from Haldwani/Kathgodam. 2 major trains the Ranikhet Express and the Kathgodam Shatabdi ply almost every day from Delhi and back. We can also provide cab service from Haldwani/Kathgodam or Delhi to the cottage 15. No Toiletries: In the interest of reducing garbage, which is a big problem in the hills, please carry your own toiletries. We do not provide any soaps, shampoos, tooth brushes or tooth paste.
