Esqape Gehna is a secluded 2 bedroom British era style stone cottage with highspeed wifi, Himalayan snow peak & sunrise views. The cottage is nestled inside a beautiful plum, peach & apple orchard and a dense oak forest around it. We are about 4kms short of the Mukteshwar Dham Temple and IVRI. We serve delicious & authentic Kumaoni cuisine and farm-fresh home-cooked meals from our kitchen. Meals NOT included. The Cottage: 2 large equally sized bedrooms only with attached bathrooms, surrounded by a large veranda, lawns and a fruit orchard. There is no living, dining or kitchen. Meals are served in the bedrooms, in the covered veranda or in the orchard. Bedrooms are not interconnected from the inside, but from the verandha. 2. Food: Meals are not included. Breakfast timings are 8AM-10:30AM. Breakfast will not be served after 10:30 so please order on time. Any meals ordered after 10:30 AM will be charged as lunch. Kitchen NOT available for guest use. Fresh home-cooked meals are served from our kitchen. Breakfast, lunch and dinner: Breakfast: 300/person ~ Veg: Rs 400/person ~ Non veg: Chicken Rs 500/person. Mutton: Rs 600/person Breakfast menu: Paranthas (3pcs), eggs to order (2 eggs your way), poori bhaji (1 bowl bhaji and 6 pooris), cheela (2pcs)etc. Choose any 1/guest. Tea, coffee, milk, toast, butter, jam. Lunch & dinner menu: 1 veg/non veg, 1 dal, 1 seasonal dry sabzi, roti, rice, fresh yogurt, salad and pickles. Tea, coffee and snacks can be ordered ala carte between meals. If you wish to bring your own ingredients then you have to pay 60% of the menu cost. 3. Private cottage: The cottage is booked privately and you will be the only guests there. 4. Drive & Parking: From the main road, the cottage is 1km driving on kacha road. Then from parking spot, where the caretaker will meet you, it is 300mtrs walking on kacha road. We have ample on street car parking and the caretaker will help you park your car safely and help you with any luggage. 5. Internet & TV: There is dedicatied wifi connection. All networks also work very well with 4G speeds. TV: We have TV with TataSky. 6. Staff: We have a cook and 2 caretakers that are available at the property from 7:00 AM till 10:00PM. They also live next to the cottage of you need them. Cleaning: Rooms & bathrooms are cleaned everyday and bedsheets are changed every 3rd day, unless otherwise requested. 7. Guests/stay: We can accommodate upto 6 guests. 4 on 2 double beds and 2 on extra beds i.e. foldout beds with mattresses. 8. Location: We are located in Village Gehna, in the heart of Mukteshwar, 5mins driving to Mukteshwar Dham temple and IVRI. 9. Surroundings & Nearby: The cottage is surrounded by orchards and a forest. It is secluded from the crowds and about 1 kms from the main road. Nearby: All sights and places of interest like Mukteshwar Dham, Bhalugarh waterfall, cafes and restaurants, groceries etc are 5 to 30mins driving from the property. 10. Fans & Air-conditioning: We are a a altitude of 7000 ft and above we there is no need for fans or ACs here. The weather remains between lows of -3 to 0'C in the winters to highs of 25 to 30'C. 11. Bonfire: There is a charge of Rs 500/bonfire. We will set up the bonfire with enough firewood good for 1.5 to 2 hours Wood is a very expensive item here. It has to be purchased from the plains, transported to the cottage, cut into smaller pieces, brought down to the fireplace and only then it becomes usable. ~ CAUTION: Once you are done with the fireplace, please make sure to extinguish the flames & embers with water. 12. Pets NOT allowed 13. No Toiletries: In the interest of reducing garbage, which is a big problem in the hills, please carry your own toiletries. We do not provide any soaps, shampoos, tooth brushes or tooth paste. There will be towels and toilet paper however. NOTE: 1. Cottage is NOT suitable for disabled or old guests with walking issues. 2. A reasonable amount of food will be served per helping and beyond that you will be charged extra, especially if food items are packed and kept for later.
