3 days we spent in Mukteshwar and our stay was very pleasant! Panditji made good food and he is great source of motivation to others! Thank you Rajat! We hope to come back soon!

We had an amazing stay at Rajat’s Iris Cottage. The place is nothing short of a surreal English cottage straight out of the pages of an old school classic novel! Right from aesthetically curated decor, to a blissful view of the valley from the balcony and the backyard to the well-maintained and squeaky clean interiors and linens. Would highly recommend this property for your next trip to Mukteshwar!

We made our booking for 2 nights but checked out in less than 24 hours. The location is nice and the views are good. The furniture and everything inside is old and extremely uncomfortable . The caretaker is differently abled so no help in getting the luggage down from the car to the house (steep 100 steps). Also if you want anything to be cooked you have to arrange for everything yourself since he can’t even go to the market.The house has only one proper room and the other two are actually open areas with beds. Restaurants and resorts next to the property claim that the road parking next to the house is reserved for them (confirmed by caretaker) so had to park further ahead on the roadside. The house was full of insects and spiders. We found 4 huge spiders in the beds. Finally all of us spent the night in the living area since the kids were not ready to go back to bed. We did loose money for 1 night but thought of it as sunk cost and not go through the misery for 1 more night.

It was a beautiful experience. Cottage is a hidden gem in mukteshwar tucked in a beautiful location with beautiful view and full of peace. There are lot of things one can do like reading books(a lot of them), playing guitar, watching tv (amazon firestick+ dvds+dish tv), games, paintings etc. For food either one can bring their own provision or can order from nearby restraunts.. Definitely would like to visit again... Cheers

I spent a lovely weekend with my parents at Rajat's place just before the peak summer tourist season started. The cottage is well located, just under a cute cafe. There are many other restaurants at walking and driving distance as well. The home is beautiful and very thoughtfully done up. As Rajat mentions, there are just over a 100 steps to descend to reach the cottage. This may be kept in mind if travelling with elderly people or if you have a lot of luggage. The caretakers Panditji and Prema didi are great! Panditji is an excellent cook - after having one of his dinners we decided to change our plans to eat outside the next day :) Cooking supplies have to be brought by the guests, which is something to keep in mind. However, there is an extremely well stocked supermarket (like many in Delhi), that delivers orders to the cottage. We had a great time and would love to visit again!
