This is our second time vacationing here and it is just the best! So many memories were made!! Our kiddos caught their very first fish right off the dock, we swam and kayaked in the peaceful lake, and enjoyed the very spacious cabin! Everything was exceptional and we can’t wait to come back again next summer!!

Having not traveled since 2019 because of the pandemic, my husband and I finally decided to venture out of Illinois to Wisconsin for a long awaited vacation. At first, we viewed weekly cabin rentals, but due to the high fees, we thought we would just stay at motels wherever we would go as we didn't have any particular places in mind. We had never stayed at an Airbnb, so started to investigate and found to our delight that this venue was more reasonably priced. The home we selected was located just outside Rhinelander, Wisconsin through the Vacasa agency, with ample space for several people. There are three bedrooms and three bathrooms, with additional beds and sofas. The house was very clean and comfortable and is decorated using unique pieces of furniture. Being only the two of us, we really only used the main floor while we were there even though the additional space in the basement is fully functional for a bigger group with a kitchen area, bedroom and bathroom and ample seating to watch TV or get warm by the stove. There is also a washer and dryer if you wish to use them. The best feature of the home is the view of Mirror Lake through huge windows in the living room area. It truly is a mirror of the foliage surrounding the lake and the people swimming or passing by on different water craft. You can access the lake yourself by using a pier that is available or just stay on shore in the pleasant gazebo or use the other chairs and tables provided. As far as any negative points, there was a major one on the day we got there. As these are modern times, a lockbox with the house key was to be accessed near the entry door. It was not easy to get to as my husband had to go down on bended knee (he's getting up there in years...). We were given the code to get in and the numbers were hard to see on the unit and the last number would not press down all the way. He hit the reset button and tried again several times, but the lock would not release. We decided to call the number provided for the house manager. Unfortunately, our cell phone provider was not available in the area, but fortunately we could use Google Voice via Wifi and got through to him. There was another way to get into the house in case of emergencies and that worked. The next morning, a text message was sent notifying us that someone would be there to fix the lockbox, but throughout the week no one showed up.

We really loved our stay and appreciated the thoughtfulness that went into creating a peaceful + relaxed + joyful environment for our family. We spent hours fishing on dock, kayaking, bird watching and nestled into our chairs around the fire in the evenings. The neighbors were all friendly and the roads were pleasant and beautiful to take walks on. We highly recommend!
