Completely renovated in 2022. Make joyful memories at this unique property on the Ohio River. Relax on the front porch swing and watch the evening sunset or river barges quietly pass. A public boat ramp is close by to launch and dock your personal boat. The cabin is located 35 minutes from both the Creation Museum (travel north) and the Arc (travel south). The historic cabin has been lovingly restored and maintained by the property owner. Recently renovated, the open floor plan is complete with a kitchen, full bathroom, walk-in closet, living/dining area, and working wood stove. This space is perfect for a cozy getaway. Beds are located in the main living area (1 queen bed) and second-floor loft space (2 twins, 1 full). If you are looking for an “unplugged” getaway, this is the listing for you!

We enjoyed our stay at The Happy Place so very much! Everything was great! It’s beautiful, peaceful, quiet, we felt right at home and it’s close to all the things we wanted to do. And the cats are so friendly! We would definitely stay again!
This cabin was the perfect home base for our visits to the Creation Museum and Ark Encounter. It is conveniently located to each of those places, and we looked forward to returning to the cabin after a long day away from it. I couldn't imagine a better option for our family of 5. Our boys loved the upstairs and the selection of board games. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the front porch. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook our own meals. I have already recommended The Happy Place to others planning their trip.
We loved our stay in this historic house. The kids were fascinated by every part of it, especially having their own sleeping loft! It definitely gave us Little House on the Prairie vibes with the loft ladder above the bed! The kitchen was well-equipped. Would recommend bringing paperware to avoid hand washing dishes. The house was clean and the beds comfortable.

The cabin is located 30 miles south of Cincinnati, Ohio. We are also perfectly situated between both the Creation Museum (35 mins north) and the Arc (35 mins south).
Cabin is located in rural country setting. Personal car is needed for transportation during your stay.
