Très bel appartement propre et bien équipé. Petit mais tout est fonctionnel. Le bâtiment est un peu vieillot mais l’appartement se démarque en bien de tout les reste. La serrure de l’appartement est à clé et il faut aller chercher et porter à Chamonix.

Nice place to stay. It’s smaller than what it looks in the pictures but has what you need. Only important to note you have to go and pick up the keys at Chamonix and then go to Argentiere. Also note that you get one single toilet roll so you have to consider that for long stays. Apart from that very close to bus stop, ski rental, nice restaurants, bar, bakery and one of the ski lifts. So great location!

This apartment is situated in the Grand Roc, approximately 5 minutes walk from the bottom of the Plan Joran ski lift in Argentière making it ideally placed for a skiing holiday in the town. My family and I have been coming to Argentière for decades and have stayed in the Grand Roc multiple times due to its location and the quality of the apartments. This one was no different with it being spotless and easy to get to. It is closely situated to restaurants, the shop and the main road in Argentière. Perfect for a stay in the mountains. One thing that made this stay slightly different is that it had absolutely no consumables whatsoever on arrival. Normally in Airbnbs, we would expect perhaps some washing up liquid, a sponge, tea towel or some toilet paper. This apartment however, had nothing - requiring us to buy it all. This was somewhat inconvenient after a days travelling, although not entirely unexpected as the apartment is self-catering. The worst feature of the overall stay was the check-in. When we have stayed in the Grand Roc before with Airbnb, you would normally be told the address and then turn up to find a key-safe outside the apartment door in which you put the code and collect the keys. In this stay, we were informed that we had to go to the Interhome offices in Chamonix (8km away from the apartment, down the valley) to collect the keys, towels and bed linen. If you were travelling in your own car, this would have not been a major issue, however coming via airport transfer made this impossible. We had to change our transfer to go to the interhome offices from Geneva rather than direct to the Grand Roc, and then get the train from Chamonix to Argentière with all our bags AND the towels/linen which you have to carry by hand to the apartment. Going a large distance to collect keys was a major inconvenience however having to carry your own towels and bed linen to the room was entirely disappointing. Even despite the quick turnover between stays, you would have hoped that the beds were made for your arrival. When it came to check out, we were told we could post the keys into the little box outside the interhome offices in Chamonix and leave the towels/bed linen outside the door of the offices. Due to an early transfer (at 0500), this was entirely impossible, requiring us to leave the apartment with the towels/linen/keys inside. This was completely unavoidable due to the transfer not being able to make multiple stops en route to the airport. Overall, this apartment is perfect and can sleep 4, providing a very comfortable stay. However I would only recommend staying if you come in your own car. Other than the check in process, the apartment, building and surrounding areas were as perfect as always and I would thoroughly recommend Argentière for a skiing holiday or in the summer for a trip.
