Just back from a lovely family weekend at the Gate Lodge. Five of us stayed, age range of 3 to 70+, and the accommodation was an ideal base for us exploring the local area. Lots of space inside and out and really private. Dorothy was really welcoming and helpful, and responded quickly to messages and questions. We'd definitely look to stay again when in the area. One little tip would be to take woolly socks / slippers as due to the traditional nature of the cottage the floors can be a little cold downstairs. Although that may be welcome in the summer!

We had a wonderful time , the cottage was very suitable for our break. There was everything that we needed, it was spotlessly clean with modern furniture , cosy Aga and beautiful spacious grounds around the property. Dorothy was a very helpful and welcoming host.

Dorthy & Richard were AMAZING hosts. met us there, showing us around the cottage, making sure we had everything we needed. Gave us great local recommendations. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone and everyone!
